Thanks. It's been an interesting journey over the last 8 months or so to get to this point, but I found it really important to be a better father for my son, and a better husband too.

Hi guys. Just dropping in to say that after 32 and a half years, I was diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed dexamphetamine. Today is the first day I have taken it, and I could cry at how "normal" and focused I feel. I feel so much slowed down and my brain isn't going haywire. Between this and the sertraline, I actually feel like a functioning, normal, adult human.

Labor Party = what Americans would consider the Democratic Party

7 of the 8 state/territory governments are Labor and our federal government is also Labor. The only Liberal government is in Tasmania which isn't even part of the mainland so does it even count? Not in my books

Baby's good. Not a baby anymore tbf, he's 14 and a half months, walking, speaking a lot of Bosnian words and phrases that I'm pretty sure are shit talking about me. He's in daycare now 2 days a week, he's a fuckin champ. He's tall as fuck. Gonna be the next Jokic and be worth millions one day.

Wife's good, she's back at work 3 days a week. We're gonna be selling our place soon and moving to a bigger one.

Pia is good, she's getting a bit fat because she doesn't really run around or exercise much and she's always begging for extra food.

I'm good. Interesting year. Diagnosed with severe depression in August, I'm on 100mg of zoloft a day now, which has helped immensely. Back at the gym now too which has been great. Drinking less, but still drinking. No drugs in over a year which is good.

How are you? How's the kidney? How's your wife? How's Tennessee? Still on your land sitting on your porch, working at the liquor store?

My advice, don't live in Sydney, it's a shithole. I live in Brisbane and I'm from Melbourne.

But yeah, Sydney is most expensive city in Australia, so be prepared for that. 115k (assuming AUD) is not a lot to get by solo in Sydney if you want to live close to the city. If you mean 115k USD, then you'll be comfy.

I'd start looking now, line up a few inspections if you can. It's a very competitive market in Australia ATM though and rents are skyrocketing with the inflation and interest rate increases in 2022 (cash rate has gone from like 0.25% to 2.85% this year)

Redfern/Mascot/Kensington/Surry Hills are all close to the city, maybe try those suburbs.

You generally pay bond (month rent) and first 4 weeks up front. Rent can be paid weekly, fortnightly, monthly depending on your agreement with the real estate/landlord.

Yes but the question is why Americans get so touchy about this, because in Australia it's no different to racism against Aboriginal people or Asian people (the predominant racism in this country). And I haven't seen any other countries get so upset or shocked at racism against Jewish people as America. Not even Israel.

All this Kyrie Irving stuff. It's just something that I've noticed as a non-American over the years. Any time it's racism against Jewish people, it's specifically referred to as anti-Semitism rather than racism, and seems to be so much worse in America than racism to other groups.
