| Tomba42 05/13/19 6:33:05 PM #169 | This is just me personally wondering, but if 85% of fans like it, perhaps critics are partly looking for it to be something it wasnt trying to be. I certainly dont expect it to evolve any narrative genres, but to play it kind of safe in that regard and just try to make hanging out with Pokmon look like a lot of fun. And tbh I think doing that well if done so counts as more of a 63% success but w/e. I realize saying things like not for the critics is a classic cop out for a terrible film, but the ranking isnt low enough to actually say terrible either. Like, for the average film goer maybe it isnt their best destination film but succeeding in making Pokmon accessible and entertaining to a large audience was clearly their real goal here and 85% says they succeeded at that if not making the tightest film. --- Friend Foundation My cat likes to slap around uncooked spaghetti. -TwinBee |
