And even if true, I think most fighting game fans have very few complaints about improving the game as time passes. SF2 World Warrior was great, Super Turbo is on another level SF3 New Generation was decent, Third Strike is a masterpiece SF4 Vanilla brought the genre back to life, USF4 expanded on it greatly World Warrior, New Generation, and Vanilla were all complete games. With Ariel, I think her red hair is the most iconic part about her (other than, you know, being half fish). And they nailed that. Also, she needs to look pretty young, since a major part of the story is Ariel being a youth who is rebelling against her fathers wishes. The actress nails that characteristic down as well. Her skin color is completely unimportant. Mermaids arent real, so theyre skin color is inconsequential. Another character that always comes to mind for me was the casting of Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin in the Daredevil movie.
