Why, are you going here?

Well, I think I personally find Copenhagen Citadel to be the most fascinating thing to see here. It's very close to statue of the little mermaid (as in I think you may be able to see it from there), which seems to be the thing we're proudest of. Imo it's not even a pretty statue and not exciting, but I might be in a minority and in any case the area in which it stands is quite pretty.

I'd recommend going to Nyhavn. It's a old and very pretty waterfront district. From there you can take an hour long cruise through Copenhagens channels where you get to see some of castles and I think actually also the little mermaid, though certainly not a detail.

Denmark also has pretty good beer. While we're at that, a tour in Carlsberg is probably pretty cool. Never been there myself actually, only outside.

I suppose we have some nice museems if you're into Nordic mythology and viking times.

I had to think about this for surprisingly, I don't really ever think about it, having lived in Copenhagen my whole life. It's probably not the most interesting place, but there are some nice things.

@Surskit anything that you found cool when you were here?

Edit: Oh, Christania is a very cool and unique place to go do. That should be a priority for anyone going here.

Nothing surprising about Modric getting the Golden Ball. Even less surprising that Mbappe is the best young player.

We knew Kane would get the Golden Boot, but he hasn't been all that great since the played against fodder. Both Lukaku and Mbappe scored a non PK goal more than him. That said, I do like Kane, so it's alright.

I loved how the referee told Subasic twice to stay on line before the penalty was taken.

Yet he still leaves it.

This is part of why I can't root for them.

This is in line with their judgements the rest of the tournament.

And the hand prevented the ball going further.

This has absolutely nothing to do with who is playing, stop that.

But yeah, event is nice. Comes with the release of Alolan Diglett and Geodude lines as well as shiny Plusle and Minun with high shiny chance right now.

Some of the best players this cup has been in their early 30s, which is always the case. Would surprise me to see Hazard and De Bruyne not have a dynamic above this come that time, especially since Lukaku and Meunier will still be around.

No all of them might not play by then, but some of them definitely will be as good as ever.

Well don't take it so literally, any team can win. But it would require them to gear up a lot unless France and England do the opposite. Point being they were never the top team the group result made them look to be.

Anyway, game is really good so far. Hopefully it doesn't end up being like France/Belgium did.

I've said it many times now, but those 3 group wins were always better on paper than in practice. Argentina's goalkeeper threw the first goal and then the whole team threw it from there. Nigeria game was fine. Iceland game wasn't too convincing, butthey had a lot of subs playing, doesn't really say anything. Then they drew a Denmark that was better than them. Drew a Russia they were a little bit better than, but not too much. Subasic was a good keeper both times but he also cheats a lot more than any other keeper does.

Croatia in top 4 is almost like when Turkey made it there in 02.

The most inexplicable thing to me was Hazard getting taken down (maybe that's the foul you're referring to) outside the box right in front of the ref, who not only didn't call a foul, but wagged his finger like he knew it was a dive. Like....what.

Yeah, that was the worst by far.

Then later Mbappe actually gives and Belgium gets a level.

At least Belgium is probably a really fun team to have in the third place match. I just wish the finalists were other teams than it will be.

Not saying Belgium was clean at all. But if they got away with anything, they surely had it coming back by not getting very deserved free kicks and getting undeserved yellow cards.

France easily had it easier with the referee.

I can't believe they made me change my mind.

Go... England I guess?

Not sure it makes a difference, but man the referee favored France big time, this ended up being no fun to watch really.

I thought he was just large after Griezmann kneed Hazard and no card was given. Then several Belgian players, Hazard included, gets a yellow for nothing.

Once again when Uruguay suddenly goes on offense, it's beautiful, but it's really missing something in the end.

I'd really hate for Uruguay to go out because Cavani got an injury. Stuani just missed a big chance at an attempt there. Cavani had gotten to that.

No, it's not misleading, and there's no "because they're England" or whatever.

You're talking like Englang played a Colombia team at their best, which they absolutely didn't. Colombia looked like a team falling apart for 75 minutes, driven by anger. Colombia wasn't just suddenly the better team because England started playing defensively, you can do that and still be the better team. They got their stuff to work a lot more often than they did for most of the match, while Englamnd had their stuff together from the start. I heavily disagree that England was easily the better team in the second half of extra time, but they definitely came back and they were probably the better team. Getting a draw against Colombia is a fine result, but it was not Colombia at their best and a single goal on a penalty made by a completely unnecessary act just doesn't scream impressive at all. England comfortably winning against Tunesia is also a little bit of a stretch, though they were snubbed of a penalty.

I don't think underselling England at all. They are the favorites to get to the final in that half, but I probably wouldn't consider them for the final in a bracket with the four on the left side, perhaps only Belgium. So yeah, as you said, probably 4th or 5th best left, we agree on that, but you're making it sound like I shot them far below that.

It's like when England when England is the better team on the field, it's because they're good, and when they're not it's excuses. No, Colombia stepped up. Not a "showing true ability" or something, just getting things to work they couldmn't at first.

Uruguay is the team being undersold by far the most of any imo, no they have beat no big names, but they look do incredibly stable, rarely makes mistakes, solid defense, dangerous front two. Looks like a winners team in every aspect to me.
