not sure how yummy they look, but they were pretty good yeah. Nice and soft, and the chocolate on top was dark, so not too sweet overall

Think of it the way that Indians think of it: you probably were. "Curry" just refers to "spiced" so almost everything is actually a type of curry. It's more of a foreigner thing to attribute "in a sauce" with "curry."

True, I wonder if how common authentic Indian food even is in Japan. Japanese curry is v mild and sweet and I dont think there's a whole lot of variation to it (I like it tho)

Try godot engine, I did my first game jam with it last weekend and it blew my mind how user friendly and efficient it was compared to unity. Unity has so much technical debt at this point, I think its smarter to jump on a newer engine like Godot that has a bright future. Unless you have a reason to specifically learn unity

The theme was Delivery, and you play as a robot trying to deliver a box. When plugged into an outlet, your movement range is limited by your cord, but your battery wont drain. Try to plug in to another outlet before your battery runs out, and make your way to the goal.

Definitely some issues, but I'm still proud of our team for doing all this in 72 hours (on an engine we had never used before too). We might polish it up and re-release it at some point, since some of the mechanics felt pretty cool but we had to rush a lot in other areas. Lemme know what you think

Duolingo?

duolingo isn't anything other than vocabulary drills from what I've seen. My bf has been doing Japanese duolingo for over a year and I already know almost all the vocab. It also doesn't teach you to read or anything, just kinda throws new stuff at you and expects you to recognize it via process of elimination.

Yeah I've heard that, but I'm not even at the point where I could understand most of it. I could read it phonetically, but I don't know the grammar. Should I just try that armed with a dictionary/translator?

I really enjoyed the small amount of Japanese I took in HS/college but wasn't able to continue due to various things out of my control. I want to continue, but I feel like it's difficult to know what to focus on without a structured classroom environment.

I guess my goals are mainly to read untranslated manga/play video games lol >_> I can read hiragana/katakana fine and have the Kanji literacy of like a 1st grader, but I still can't understand much in media. Any recommended resources or techniques? Iirc there used to be some Japanese learning topics on here
