It's just a matter of the technical training/knowledge you need to adequately do the job. That's true for specialist jobs, but a large portion of corporate jobs are just generic business degrees where tons of people barely use what they learned in school. Another thing to note is that a lot of physical labor jobs have an active speed and craftsmanship component. So there's a skill component in your day to day job.
