As someone who didn't really grow up with many games (I played this site's top games for the first time only a few years ago), I don't have that strong of memories with basically all of GameFAQS top characters.

But in the case of Link vs RPGs, even though RPGs are my favorite genre and most of my favorite games are strong on this site, I still end up voting Link because the depth I've seen in Zelda speedruns made me appreciate the series's gameplay so much more, whereas these RPGs tend be RNG hell. (I used to really like Welkin from Valkyria Chronicles til he cost me all the runs)

I guess what I'm getting at people have their reasons from voting for Link, even if they love other games too.

at least, i thought so

If I remember correctly, the money was to buy a Capo position, so they would be higher up in the organization and thus closer to learning about the boss.

Good game, but can't really overstate just how much it's more of the same from VC1. I realize that seems like a blessing to longtime suffering VC1 fans (like myself) having had to sit through 3 fake games, but really it's a bit extreme in it's sameness. Felt like it could have come out as a Red version to VC1's Blue version.

As someone who speedruns basically the entire series, I would say it is more Oracle of Ages to Oracle of Seasons (specifically VC1/VC4, but the same could be said of VC2/VC3)

Like there was a conscience decision to make maps longer/have more variety objectives than base capturing compared to VC1-3. And I'm happy it kept Squad Stories from VC2-3, nice to have more character development.

Also Sega, if you want us to not rush the maps as much, then stop giving us better movement options.

And Prologue is dumb AF.

30 seconds? Maybe PLGE won't a bad speedgame after. Well it is still bad, but it is supposedly the hardest Kanto run.

I'm not that up to date on stats, but didn't Knuckles and Magus start to suck in 2005-2008, but Crono and Sonic sucked less?

I guess what I am trying to say is that even if MGS is weaker somehow, I just believe Snake will hold up a lot better.

Is Squall really this anti-voted? That is rather unfortunate. I knew he got anti-voted, but I never thought it was this bad.
