For anyone out of the loop, let me explain: Nexpo is a horror themed YouTube channel. Covers disturbing things, like online ARGs, creepy happenings in IRL or on the internet in general. I'm sure you guys have seen someone similar. MamaMax is very much the same. Or, more, was. Or...has been? Idk. His channel is weird. But recently it's gone from kinda unsettling to just...cringe. To give you an idea: imagine Hotline Miami's protagonist...now imagine someone using that look, and pretending they're 'killing' or...whatever, child predators, whilst showing that they're clearly just pointing these scumbags(and websites that host these fuckfaces) to the proper authorities. And in-between that, a weird(but admittedly cool) visual style, but retaining an 'wow so cool' look that makes it feel like some art student's attempt at making a film, but one that's dark and edgy and awesome and something that. ..eh, I'm not able to properly detail it. Here's the video: https://youtu.be/V8syj_418NY It just...idk, seems like some edgelord's wet dream. Bringing notice to these AWFUL, AWFUL situations is GREAT! Doing these little edgy try-hard skits just, along with pretty much downplaying it by making it into these weird fantasy skits where they're killing/hurting these predators. Now on Nexpo, his recent video seems like it has exactly the same tone. It is just...uncannily similar. And I had trouble watching through it at times. It's just so hard to watch. I feel like I'm watching an edgy AMV with TDG in the background. Maybe I'm just overreacting. Idk. I hate it though. It almost feels like...idk, less a serious situation than it is. The tone is silly, almost, for what is a serious situation, but it's clearly meant to be seen as serious...eh.
