Wait. One of the stages is offering Book of Holiness (-20% Stress, -10% Deathblow resistance) which is uncommon but seems to be better than Solar Crown (-20% stress if Torch above 75)? Not suffered a Deathblow yet so don't know how bad dropping Deathblow resistance is.

Swine Prince is offering the Very Rare Houndmaster Trinket which could be good +20% DMG, +30% Bleed chance, -20% Healing received, -50% healing skills

Stopping for the day now but hopefully tomorrow I do some bosses!

Week 12 - Weald (Short)

Don't really have the materials to upgrade anything I want and I see that locking in a positive quirk is expensive. So is getting rid of a severe negative quirk. I have quite a few problematic negative quirks I want rid of too. Bleh. I guess the ideal is to get not so bad negatives turn severe

Shambler's Altar - It says "The sacrifice of fire is the gate to ruin! Place a torch if you crave the void!"

Pretty sure I read an in-game journal that mentioned a Shambler and tentacles or something and everyone dying? If I was with my main team I would light it but with the team I have probably not a good idea. I am very tempted though...

Dungeon design means I have to double back past here shortly so maybe on the way back

Week 11 (Warrens - Short)

Before the dungeon I sent Mana to meditate and Pirateking to try cure The Worries. Dungeon was fairly easy and got lots of rewards. Nobody died but the consequences quirk disease wise suck.

Not related to this but an underrated move that people may forget about. Bucs moved back to get Vita Vea. The other compensation from that move back turned in Davis and Whitehead.

Really enjoying the game so far. I was trying to look up a spreadsheet to keep track of the roster but the first 2 I found seemed to have a ton of other information that I didn't want to know as it may spoil stuff so I clicked out of them straight away.

I'm ok with maybe light warnings like if there's anything obscenely unfair that will wreck me that I have no way of seeing coming but I don't want to see 'Upgrade in this order' or 'Use this specific composition / skills for X boss'

Current - Online through a dating app but I wasn't necessarily looking, just stumbled into it. I had been separated from my ex-wife for like 7 months (there was zero no hope of reconciliation). I hopped on Tinder for literally 1 weekend when I felt shitty. Ended up talking to one person but decided Tinder wasn't for me almost immediately so just sent her my number, told her I was deleting the app but didn't actually expect her to contact me. Took a few months for us to get together given my situation but we kept talking throughout it. It's a little over 4 years later now and we are getting married in April (delayed from December due to COVID). It's the best, healthiest relationship I've ever had.

Week 7

Entered with the same team. Fairly straightforward again but err the expedition results not so much. Pirateking got the Black Plague somehow, presumably from the trap that hit him. So bad times!

The Black Plague gives -75% Blight Resist, -75% Disease Resist, -10% Max HP and -5 SPD so is pretty bad!

And oh boy, Stage Coach has 6 more Recruits than normal. So I'll probably save and quit here and decide what to do with them all next time as I'm at 17/17 but to give you a preview the loadout is Vestal, Hellion, Vestal, Man at Arms, Flagellant, Plague Doctor, Bounty Hunter, Vestal, Houndmaster

What I'll do is I'll give people chance to claim an existing character and if they don't then I'll assign them either an existing character or stage coach next update after signup if possible given the criteria they specified. I'll try assign people to the characters I'm more likely to use but still feeling out the game so far so I could be guessing wrong on what to use (I know I like stun and blight and bleed!)

Week 5

Dungeon run went less smooth than normal but no deaths. I probably got a bit lucky as the quest was clear out all room fights and the dungeon had like a T junction at the end with 1 room to the right and 2 to the left. I took the right room and it cleared the quest. If I had to backtrack back through the room I came from plus 2 more rooms, it could have ended badly as multiple people were low on health and 1 was afflicted

Tutorial goes as expected and I don't open the chest at the end of it because it says its trapped and I'm not that foolish. The crusader gets no extra perks after the tutorial, the Highwayman gets Evasive

Trinket wise I start out with a Stone of Patience (which I throw on Bauldry) and Stone of Endurance which I toss on Dismas

I upgrade the Stagecoach Network and enter the next dungeon with the above 4 since it's my only choice.

So came across Darkest Dungeon for sale on the PSN store ($10 with presumably all expansions) and thought it looked interesting. Did a quick Youtube search and decided that I liked how it looked so went ahead and I bought it.

This is basically a blind playthrough topic. My current experience is watching like 2 Youtube videos and 3 dungeon runs (where I had 1 person die and 3 people afflicted)

Sign up to have a hero named after you. I'll likely do something like if you die, I'll throw you back at the bottom of the sign up list as I assume I'll have more deaths than signups. Especially since the game seems to throw new heroes at you like they are entirely dispensable (I think I had 13 in my 3 dungeons)

If you want a specific class or name then specify but keep in mind I know virtually nothing about the game so I'll likely play classes wrong and I anticipate this going very badly

Magic are absolutely fucked from an injury standpoint so the fanbase is actually excited that we will likely get a top lottery pick and then have the potential to be good once healthy next season.

Cade would be ideal but even with the worst record, the odds are pretty low.

I actually really like Corey Kispert too as he's going to be a great shooter and NBA ready right now even if he's not going to be an all star. He's not going to go anywhere near our pick though, we'd have to pick up another mid 1st.

Xinyan's voice in other languages are good, but yeah, I don't understand why the NA voice director(s) decided she should sound like a country musician.

This is doubly worse because Xinyan's VA also voices Barbara. So they actively decided that Barbara's voice was bad, Xinyan's was fine and had her re-record Barbara.

They updated her to be more consistent with how she talks when encountered in the story. Voice actor is the same. The issue is that people feel her old battle lines fit her character a lot better and it seems the overwhelming majority preferred those.

Her new voice is only poorly received because we heard her old voice. If we had never heard her old voice direction, nobody would have said anything. And that's what makes me concerned they won't do anything about this and will just ignore the complaints.

Well I really hope they change it back. Seems there's been a bit of an outcry on the reddit too. If there's a petition or something non toxic (fuck the people harassing the VA) I can do to support the cause I will

Right but I am trying to taking pictures of red stuff and it isn't taking pictures. Agates, the dragon core thing, fires, fire element activated totems. Like I am aiming at very obviously red stuff and it isn't doing anything

I have zero patience for this stupid ass kamera stuff. Half the time it won't even take a picture and the other half it is nothing like the color I'm looking at. The 2 flaming flowers it has taken a pic of came out as ocher and aquamarine. It wouldn't let me take a picture of an agate or the dragon heart thing.

In fairness to Beal, he signed the extension in 2019 and the team has declined every year since.

I do think it's shitty that players sign contracts and then ask out early but Beal had been professional until now unlike other players who have made a mess to get a trade. He also only has 2 years left after this season and one of those is a player option. So really only 1.

Tbh, having looked at all the plays:
1) The play from last year was absolutely dirty by lowry.
2) This play tonight by lowry seemed kinda incidental and just what happens when a shorter guy tries to box out a taller guy, but it's questionable at least. With the feud started from last year, I can see why someone would think it dirty.
3) Gordon's shoulder to lowry looks kinda the same as lowry's play tonight. He took a small step forward and didn't cold cock him or anything and looked a bit like a flop from lowry, but might have still been intentional. And with again the ongoing feud, it's certainly possible gordon just said **** it, and honestly lowry would probably deserve it just after the play last year.
