The reason is that up until the early 2000s you could briefly show nudity in PG-13 movies without it going to R, and the same rule applied to PG movies before the PG-13 rating existed. Look at Hackers or The Fifth Element; we briefly get to see Angelina Jolie and Mila Jovovich's boobs in those.

They did not. If you are referring to the Apocrypha, those were translated as well and were part of the KJV for most of its existence. They even translated books that are in the Appendix to the Latin Vulgate that are not even in the Catholic canon.

Both are great, but books >>> movies. There's much more depth and such in the books and I didn't like some of the changes in the movies. I didn't like like how they treated Faramir, for example. Elrond is a racist prick (a self hating one too since he also has mannish blood and relatives including his own brother). Aragorn is reluctant to be king instead of wanting to prove himself. This. You really have to appreciate the scope of the movies and the efforts of the actors, but the changes were often kind of dumb. The books (or really book since it was intended to be a singular work in three volumes) are meditative in a way.

There's also the fact that even though it's called the office extended, there are still cut scenes that they didn't put back in to certain episodes, that's how many scenes filmed there are. I refer again to the benihana christmas episode because it's a good example of all these cases

I wonder if it's because they just couldn't fit all the scenes in and retain pacing. Obviously the 22 min limit would have been the main motivating factor for cutting scenes, but it can't be the only reason.

Eh nothing on PC matches the simplicity of turning it on with a controller and getting right into a game (exactly where you last turned it off in fact).

It's way better than it used to be but I think some tinkering around with the ol' mouse and keyboard should still overall be expected as something you need to do now and again. It's part of the fun for a lot of people anyway.

Some Unreal Engine 4 games have had issues with shader pipeline stuttering as well lately no matter how good your rig is. Nothing you can do about that one though unfortunately.

It sounds like what you're saying is that PC going is only slightly less convenient than console gaming once you have a system that can play games.

And do it, TC. From the Xbone and PS4 onward there has been next to no point of having consoles over a gaming PC. I've been PC gaming for a decade now and haven't been tempted to get the new consoles because they simply do less than what I have.

Yeah, it really sucks that the Big Tech sites make it harder to search for older things even though they might be useful for the user. It was harder than I thought to get to older videos for a particular game even though there was a lot of useful stuff pushing a decade old.

Similar thing has happened with Amazon. I've looked for books on particular subjects and gotten inadequate results, only to stumble upon old out of print books in real life that were exactly what I was looking for. Said books only seemed to show up on Amazon's search if you search for them by their actual name, not the subject matter.

This reads like a made up topic but she just went on a rant about how high her IQ is, how she is qualified for MENSA and how everyone else is stupid and the world would be a better place if dumb people died.

This reminds me years ago when she went on a rant about how she got A's in the hardest topics senior year that everyone in HS should be required to do the hard classes and if they fail then they are too dumb to graduate.

Given that forums tend to attract people that are smarter on average, you might very well be of above average intelligence. You certainly seem to be able to express your thoughts in a text format better than the average Boomer conservative on Facebook.

Anyways, the funniest thing about people that brag about their IQs is that when you ask them to explain some sort of complex topiceven if it's one that they are familiar withthey are unable to do so in an adequate manner.

IIRC, there's been a problem with CGI being rendered at lower resolutions than the film itself. Not to mention that Lord of the Rings went the Jurassic Park route and used CG in ways that would not age as poorly while using practical effects for closeups. Or something like that.

I always find that the one thing you never want to include in a sincere apology is an explanation for why you did what you did.

I'm not entirely sure this is the case one hundred percent of the time, though I would say it is true most of the time. I think that in some cases when the details of someone's bad behavior in a particular situation are not completely clear that they can give a quick explanation followed by an apology and an acknowledgment that their reasoning was wrong.

It seems to be the case that most people that are not sincere (as Corden is not in virtually every aspect of his life) seem to default to explaining things in a tactless manner that conveys that they are not actually sorry.
