Functionally, there isn't one. You put the game in and it works. Cards are more technologically advanced, though. They're smaller, have larger storage capacity, use different types of memory, and are generally constructed much differently.

Physical media as a whole has undergone such a transformation in the last three decades that it makes sense that the terminology had changed. Video games are no exception.

They eat a diet with meat in it because they're carnivores and that's not a decision for me to make. And all of my cats are death row rescue kitties

Good to know. The reason I asked is because I've seen reports of vegans forcing that diet on their cats, and nearly killing them in the process. Glad you're not one of them.

I voted too easy, because to me, too easy is insulting. Constant flashing fingers on the screen. NPCs outright telling you where to go and how to get there. Enemy weak points that are plainly obvious from the outset of the battle. Puzzle solutions that are discolored or glowing. A game doesn't have to be face-meltingly hard, but I would prefer that over being coddled.
