Dark Souls is great because it's open in how you can progress through the game. At least for the first half. After you get to Anor Londo it becomes more linear.

And not having warp powers between bonfires for the start just makes the experience much better I think. It's truly terrifying for me descending further and further into Blighttown. It's oppressive and miserable and you don't have the safety of instant teleport out like all other souls games. You're pretty much trapped down there unless you make it back out on foot. I love that. Then when you do come out of Blighttown into the Valley of Drake's it's a huge relief.

It can be possible to reverse the stunner with your own move but it'll be very hard. Also when in public no one notices it happening.

You are guaranteed no permanent damage or death from the stunner.

Dark Souls 1 is just a masterpiece of design. It's probably one of the best designed worlds in gaming. Plus I think the gameplay is still the best in Dark Souls 1.

I prefer everything being slow and methodical in Dark Souls 1. Dark Souls 3 tried way too hard to be Bloodborne. Everything is lightening fast and feels like it's based on reaction. Alot different to Dark Souls 1.

I'd say Bloodborne > Dark Souls 1 > Dark Souls 3 > Dark Souls 2 (Haven't played Demon's Souls)

It's hard for me to type this and I might get me modded,

but when I sliced through my wrist with a piece of broken plate glass, it lacerated the flesh one inch and a half wide and about half a centimeter deep. My body went instantly cold, I felt lightheaded, the wound stung and burnt, I felt my heart rate rapidly picked up and it felt like I was suffocating despite breathing deep breaths.

I almost passed out but for never did for some reason. Needed 6 stitches. According to the nurse I was a few millimetres from cutting through a major vein which would've caused alot more damage.

It wasn't just a clean cut either. It completely ripped open the skin and there was a very wide gash which showed all kinds of fleshy parts in my arm. Just thinking about it makes me shudder and feel sick

The biggest mistake that Naughty Dog made with that game is making normal too easy.

You can play it like a straight up cover shooter. All the intensity is lost. Playing on survival is a whole new different beast. It's insanely intense. You got to use strategy and skill rather than just playing it like a cover shooter.
