Why do you need to know the time within 2 seconds a day? What does that even mean?
And if keeping track of the time to perfection is what you need wouldn't a smart watch or digital watch be better at that anyway?

Also it only keeps track of time perfectly if you set it perfectly, which seems impossible.

it's not that you NEED to, i can admit no one NEEDS a watch. it's that it's amazing that the watch can be that accurate with no battery or electronic device inside. it's an engineering marvel, which i appreciate as an engineer

the point was that while these luxury brands do offer superior quality in many cases, A LOT of the price point is due to branding and marketing, not just the quality increase.

as a watch guy, i can't find anything even similar to this watch at higher or even lower price points. i even initially bought the christopher ward diver to avoid buying the BB58...and let me tell you it's not even remotely close once you get hands on:

to a certain extent, sure. but a LOT of what you're paying for is the branding and status that go along with that.

it's the same as those $200 Armani Exchange t-shirts. yeah, sure, those are made with higher quality materials and manufacturing vs a $2 Walmart t-shirt, but you're definitely not paying $198 more purely for that quality. it's more like $20 for the quality and $180 for the branding splashed on the front which lets strangers know you spent $200

all that said, as long as it makes you happy, you do you, homie.

even with t-shirts, there's a lot of variation in quality. i've learned i only like pima cotton, "the cashmere of cotton" and it def costs more money than poly blends or standard egyptian cotton etc

i don't doubt any of that, but there's a reason you're going after $5,000 watches and not the $50 ones. the high cost / luxury status is a major selling point of these, as well as ANY "luxury" item.

you get improved quality with the price increase. if someone were to think the price increase wasn't worth the added features, that is fine...personally i do think it's worth it.

for starters, that $50 invicta is 40mm and 12.5mm thick. my tudor is 39mm and 11.9mm thick, making it much more suitable to my wrists

lol, watches are a hobby. i enjoy the automatic movements. this is the only watch of it's kind with this exterior style, interior mechanism and in this size (ie fits my wrists)

she doesn't wear her engagement ring while at work, probably to get better tips

finally asked her her name today after a year (lol)

so went to the page for the restaurant and searched the followers for her name, found her and her page...and yep she's engaged
