Exact same lol. To this day, I don't think I've ever lost so many times to a boss as much as I did to her. I feel like my death count to her was in the 40s. But definitely made the rest of the bosses easier. I even beat that boss on the horse on the first try, and apparently a lot of people struggled with that one. I wanna say I even beat him without even getting touched. Yeah the horse guy was the boss, don't think I no hit him though. Crazy part? I beat Butterfly's second form first try with low health. No idea how, just started dodging out of sheer desire not to fight her again. Never did anything else as cool again. | RyuForce 04/23/24 11:28:40 AM #54 | For me the Ando Londo archers were the real boss. I struggled so hard to get pass them that I kept restarting my runs. By the time I finally got pass them my character was stupid tanky witj 20 flasks that made mebeat them on my first try.
Jupiter posted... Lady Butterfly even though she's more of a beginning boss. But she's optional. Therefore, she can be fought midgame. I made the fatal mistake of making her the first boss I beat. You just reminded me of this. There were 15 main characters in the game and I spent hours grinding to keep the characters as evenly leveled as possible so as not to get caught in a scenario that split up the groups (which the game frequently did) and get caught with under leveled characters. After hours of grinding all characters to level 120, I thought that would be good enough to complete the game. I think my team was Choco, Arc, Elc, Lieza, and Tosh with me not sure on the last two. (Maybe Shantae over Lieza).I do know Lieza and Elc having ranged weapons helped and I probably could switched Tosh for Shu cause gun. I also think I had the romancing stone so one of them had infinite mana but even with that it was an endless slog that felt like it could gone wrong several times. But seriously the fact no other fight above lv 80 is a challenge and yet the boss really pushed you to have 100+ levels was insane. --- "Well, doesn't this just beat all?" ~ Rei, Breath of Fire III PSN: GojiraRising |

| RyuForce 04/22/24 7:01:56 PM #47 | It's a blur to me at this point but Arc the Lad 2's final boss was at least a massive slog. First form 4000 HP, second form 9999 HP in a game where I don't think any other boss hit pass 2000 nor did you usually hit for more then 150 hp maybe 200s. All while it's AOE attacks hit for more then half your party's heath a turn while your party. You needed a lot of mana restoring items and having your players position well to get their weapon hits in if you aren't relying on just spells. (It's a tactics lite game so whips, spears, and guns had more range and hit in weird angles.)
furb posted... More obscure one I guess for me. I remember this boss. My oldest sister was very into Lunar and spent over 30 minutes fighting the second phase. Breath of Fire 6 Ryu had one of the coolest designs. What a fucking waste. Little slow to respond to this but yeah this design is really good. And from what I read they only even bothered putting Ryu in the game because fans were complaining about him not being in the game in the first place. BoF 6 is such a waste and would be a horrible place for the series to die out.
