Pretty much. FF7 and OoT were raised up as the figureheads of that generation's console wars, a console war which many of GameFAQs current users are still nostalgically invested in. Link and Cloud just represent that; I don't think anyone considers them to be particularly great characters.

Whoa, this is some edgy "high school drama kids behind the curtains cause you're just an extra in Act III" stuff right here.

Be a good person just to be a good person. You'll find that life is a little better that way. Don't expect anything out of it, just be nice and thoughtful when it comes to others. Making a judgement about society as a whole is a great way to completely miss a lot of people that could use a bit of positivity and well thoughts in their life.

What about the people that are too simple to do any of those things? I guess the last one is easy, but when simple people can't lie you can see what human nature really is.

Mostly nice. All very driven by a certain thing that keeps them waking up every morning. Most sane people chase the feeling of happiness because they're literally drug addicts to it. They don't think about it very hard and they have no underlying scheme except avoiding things that make them sad. They won't do things that make them feel guilty because guilt makes them sad.

Positivity does encourage more thought than negativity, so people will focus more on what will make them happy more than what will make others sad.

This is where a paranoid narcissist (like you or me) will recognize humans as evil and stupid. Depending on what day you ask me I'll agree or disagree on evil. Evil ignorance is sort of an oxymoron.

I find people completely lacking empathy as rare as blind people.
