Went in to replace my old smartphone and wanting a S9. Did my research beforehand and asked the associate for the phone. At the time they rung it, they said they would add it as a pre-payment charge each month until it gets paid it. I pulled out $1K in cash and told him I'll pay for it on the spot. He said he couldn't do that because the phone would need to have at least one month of pre-payment charge before I can fully pay off the phone. I have literally never heard of this.

I had the cash on hand to pay the phone outright at MSRP..... but they want me on some pre-payment plan which to me sounds like an interest loan.

Is this an actual thing at stores nowadays? I did the same thing with my S3 back then and didn't have any problems.

Lots of home sellers are really good at hiding problems with houses and lot of inspectors are morons. If you live in America and are buying a pre 1980s house your walking into a lot of possble toxic and terrible things (such as asbestos, lead paint, aluminum wiring, etc)

I live in the Bay Area where most of the homes here are built in the early 1900s and I see HUNDREDS of homes being gutted and torn down and replaced with modern parts. Their workers dont wear masks either (mostly asian) and they just start hammering the god damn place down.

Is that where the majority of OG SF people are going? There seems to be a lot of people moving out here but at the same time the houses are being bought and renovated then flipped for profit then bought again only to be rented out for $3K-$4K a month.
