yeah, that explanation is goofy. i could buy that they looked at nineteen eighty-four at some point though, and they could have gotten away with it if it was actually a nineteen eighty-four concept since that's mostly become genericized totalitarian imagery atp, and they could have done it without invoking kristallnacht in their kpop song. hell, just copy the apple ad it would have been fine.
