According to the end of the first one, that was The Prize for Connor. He could live like a normie. Of course, they pretty much tossed that overboard in the sequels.

Because they lose their Immortality.

Makes one wonder if Methos escaped the savages and went on living a normal life?

I imagined Connor would have lots of kids and help bring humanity closer to a utopian society. So, basically some unimaginable story of goodness following the original movie. He lays down his sword. People eventually learn to transcend their physical forms, ascending to an astral realm as ancestral spirits whose wisdsom and whose words can be drawn on by those of us still left behind in the mortal coil. The sequels just don't capture the magic of the original, for me.

Immortals can't have children.

The biggest problem with Highlander 3 is that Katana and the two immortal jobbers are still technically alive.

It's not that there's only one Highlander, but the fact that they are born to do battle and gain power from each other. The end goal is "there can be only one".

Immortals aren't all known as Highlanders besides Connor or Duncan.

Highlander is already known as someone from Scotland.

Kurgan was from like Russia.

Fasil allgedly from some BFE Europe.

Who the hell knows where Methos was from being 5,000 years old.

Hell he doesn't even remember.

If you can pull it off and not block your own potential blessings, more power to you. I always felt similar. Especially if guys were surrounding a girl. Seemed corny. But, if a girl is just chilling, nothing wrong with going up and shooting your shot. Like I was saying earlier, if not, you gotta do something that makes you look like someone to approach. I love Highlander, but I challenge anyone to provide an example of another fantasy "universe" with shittier continuity. I even liked Highlander 2, ffs, but omfg there's zero consistency other than the fact that they change the rules every time they want to put out another movie.

Hollywood reboots everything but somehow, we can't get a Highlander reboot. It's a crime.

The Renegade version tried to fix it and made it look like some dreamscape.

I'm aware of all that. It doesn't refute my point, though. If Immortals can continue to be born throughout all of history then they'll never be "only One" because their numbers are no longer finite.

It also takes away from the point of them using swords as opposed to more modern weaponry.

The Source made it to where "only One" can claim the prize, not fight down to the last.

Hell Anna and Methos are still left.

Also, TV SHOW SPOILER Richie becoming immortal completely screws up the whole point of the Immortals.

If not they live and die like everyone else.

Though not being fully immortal, other immortals still can sense you.

Also I recall when Duncan was a newb stabbing some lady he had a thing for just so she can become immortal.

I always wondered about that. If you decapitate an immortal, do you get zapped by the quickening, abd become an immortal too? Do you get zapped by incompatible quickening and die? Nothing happens, and you continue as normal?

Not sure.

I understand it as some are born with the gene to become immortal.

Like the Richie character.

They have to be killed or die from a accident when it kicks in.

That's why you see them at different age's.

If not they simply grow old and die like everyone else.

Also The Source made it sound like the "there can be only one" thing meant that only one can claim the prize but not fight down to the last.

I always found that their music sounds uplifting no matter what the song is about or saying.
