I think you're missing the big point here. Bubonic Plague had a completely different mechanism of transmission that person to person. It didn't matter there that an infected person might just die because it wasn't counting on that person to spread. If the report about it being spread person-to-person is accurate (note: I am just taking post 24 at face value), comparing it to Bubonic Plague is apples and oranges.

There are indeed a ton of variables that affect transmissibility, but there's also a world of difference between a zoonotic disease and an anthroponotic disease. And with anthroponotic diseases, mortality rates are a bigger factor.

a disease with human-to-human transmission needs the virus to be able to keep you up and infecting those around you - if its severe enough to leave you bedridden and you die, you don't have much of a chance to spread - making it likely for the virus to just run through all the infected population, and then the only people left either have a built-up immune response or are dead.

I agree it isn't a definite answer, but its definitely a factor here.
Bro what the fuck are you even talking about.

Stop saying "the media".

There isn't a "the media".

Some media members think Russia is a paper tiger hollowed out by corruption.

Some think they are on the verge of breaking the Ukrainian army.

You're obviously trying to prove something by making such a fake curious topic. Why, instead of shitposting, don't you do an analysis of specific claims made by the media and contrast those with the recent developments with N. Korea? Then you could prove whatever point you're trying to make.

That's what a curious and smart person would do. It would even... be a decent topic of discussion!

Why would TC make such shitty and insightless topics about current events? I thought TC positions himself as someone who is intelligent?

Really high mortality rates tend to kill infected people faster than they can reproduce and spread to others, so even if its quite infectious its much more likely to just burn out the whole supply quickly before it can spread too much.

It's not a guarantee, but it is the likely response of something with as high a mortality rate as might be reported.
But that's just a correlation. It's not even a rule of thumb. You can just look to the Bubonic plague for a disease with a comparable fatality rate and see that transmissibility is actually dependent on a great deal many more factors than "mortality rate", and simplifying the issue down to mortality rate fundamentally misrepresents how infectious diseases work.

The claims that the object exhibited anomalous properties (That it was moving in a rapid, extremely fast manner) were debunked. How is it such a stretch to think that intelligent life might exist or that it might have been here? Its almost arrogant to assume that we are the only form of intelligent life out there.
I'm curious about the world in general, not such a narrow-minded bias towards the visitation of aliens to earth. That means I'm curious as to how, for instance, biology works, how desiccation preserves corpses, how realistic prop models are made, and how grave robbers named "Mario" Leandro Rivera take human bones from ancient Nazca burial sites, repurpose them as "alien mummies", claims to find them in a "secret mine", and tries to sell them to French foreign nationals for $100,000.

It's something worse than arrogant to be so incurious about how the world actually works.

You know what, that might be exactly what this was about

I frankly think there is some concern internationally about the existence of a U.S. Recovered UAP program. The idea being that if this program exists, then probably only a few governments would know for certain and have some form of access. Italy, for instance, supposedly recovered a craft during Mussolini's time that was transferred to the U.S. So if you're Italy, you are "in", so to speak. Perhaps America is running the show, but you're still on the call sheet. To be more specific, I'm describing the potential perspective from a nation like Mexico, ya?

So say you're Mexico and you've definitely never gotten an invite--Maybe because you're not trusted, maybe because you don't have anything to contribute, and maybe because the program just doesn't actually exist (lol). You don't know. Obviously, however, the existence of this program could lead to the exploitation of both new extraterrestrial technology as well as information that can be leveraged in all matters of international and domestic dealings. So if you want an invite, what's the best way to get it? Well, you need to have something that you can leverage. New evidence or a means to upset the current veil of secrecy/scales of balance. So you collect whatever claims you can in your area, present them as a "hearing" in front of Congress, and try to glean more information from America's reaction to see if you're on the right track.

That is the most Machiavellian way of looking at it. In reality the Mexican congress probably just has their own versions of Lauren Bobert's mucking about doing things for attention and whatnot. Who knows. The "validity" of these claims seems more dubious than you would expect the setting to tolerate. Trotting out some "new mummies" that look basically identical to the comically bad mummies from 2017 in a glass case is pretty ridiculous.

It's astonishing how frequently he gives out just enough info to seem "credible" but not enough information to actually be verifiable or explainatory. What an interesting coincidence!

"Ah yes, I know that Aliens aren't much more advanced than us. What does that mean? Oh, well, they just... took a different evolutionary path than us. What does that mean? Oh, well, mayve it's that they're 4th dimensional beings? Hmmmm? Wouldn't that be interesting?"

Just explain why they're not that much more advanced. Explain what that means. Explain what you mean by "different evolutionary path". It's so obviously grifting at this point. The dude just wants everybody to think he's got this wealth of knowledge but, oh, he's so coy about it. How mysterious! Are we suppose to believe he's under some NDA or something when the dude is doing 2 hour long interviews about the subject he supposedly can't talk about or something?

His argument is that the reason his disclosures were allowed is because in order stop him from publishing the info he already has, a government organization would have needed to step in and identify themselves as having redacted it. His argument is that these secret government agencies were more afraid of putting their names on the redactions than D.G. spilling the beans on all this crazy shit he's already said. That is... insane rationale, especially when D.G. then goes in front of Congress and says, "Hey, I'll tell you Congressmen who all these secret agencies are behind closed doors". Instead, you had the biggest clown show Congressional hearing possible where all this supposed secret activity is brought to light as if that's better than... Have the agency name on a redacted publication?

Then he's like, "It's not my job to disclose all this info! Instead I'm just going to distribute a vague and mysterious paper trail for others to follow!". Bro what the fuck are you talking about? This would literally be the most important information in the history of humanity.

Then his proof that The Manhattan project was the first Blue Book was that "his colleagues grandparents were UFO spotters for the project". Great.

This dude's like, "They just went a different path instead of us. Instead of making nukes this made this civil engineering project to travel with". Where is he getting this information from? Have they interrogated the aliens and learned all about their society? Did you visit their planet and take the walk-through tour of the Alien Nuclear Space Travel Museum? They recovered a UFO and some bodies and that's enough for David to know that the aliens they built a space engine instead of a nuke, and also that they're not much more advanced than us. It sounds like he's just writing his own fan fiction.

I'm an hour through parsing this video and it's fucking insufferable. I think I'm done. It's 97% just the YouTuber talking about conspiracies in a shotgun spray of speculation. It's telling that this is who David chose to go to to be interviewed. These guys would nevet press David on a single claim. They could interview David for 10 hours for all I care and you wouldn't get any actual pusback for David's claims even when they are inherently ridiculous or speculative.
