Everyone has reasons to feel sad or depressed, there are more factors than looks that contribute to people's happiness. They probably lost a pet or family member. Maybe they get too much unwanted attention, or even they get too little attention and they always crave more. Maybe they broke up or have relationship problems. I think that too many icons of beauty in the West are white people. Too many white models, actors, and actresses. It;s why I roll my eyes when those Vegy accounts post about white women countlessly, despite me thinking that indeed the women he posts are indeed attractive. I also think there is a big symptom of general racism in the West against minorities, both overt and subtle. I am biased but I believe I am also anti-racist. I can go into detail about that, but I will push that aside for now. However, I don't think racial preferences makes you racist. I admit I do have racial preferences when it comes to romance and attraction. I will also admit that the media has a large effect on your upbringing. But as said your original post, it's your body, your choice. Also, sometimes you have a soft spot for a set of features that you find really attractive, that you tend to be narrow minded and ignore other characteristics.
