It really was. I'm so glad I went there. It's really a beautiful country, if you ever have the chance to go there, do it. It's expensive as fuck but there's so much to take in. I was sitting at this big ass lake with the fucking Alps right behind it. I mean, I guess those were the Alps, they were some huge mountains, looked really cool. Swans chilling right beside me. I don't even really care that much for vistas and stuff like that, but this was awesome.

Switzerland was awesome. It's a beautiful country, the people are super friendly, and I had the best time playing the gig and hanging out with the other bands. I got shitfaced as fuck, was already drunk playing the show, but oh man, afterwards it was just beer after beer, rum, vodka, apricot liquor, some wine and some other stuff as well. Some guy rolled a joint for me which got me absolutely fucked up and then I talked about football with some dude for an hour.
When I arrived in my hotel room I wanted to lay down on my bed, I kinda dropped on it and then I fell right on the ground and hurt my leg and then I laughed for half an hour. Slept 8 hours in 2 days. The drive back to Belgium was insanity.
I also hung out in Montreux, at the lake of Genve, the Smoke On The Water thing, so that was pretty cool as well.

It was my best playing a concert experience ever, but everything also still hurts because I'm old now.

Sucks :(

Also the only reason I ever really started thinking about the lyrics is cause both times I saw slayer live they did a bs half apology "its just a song" announcement before playing it. Honestly either just play it and fuck it or stop playing it. The pre emptive caution warning / apology just seemed so dumb and jarring compared to the rest of thebshow.

I don't like when bands do shit like that. Apologizing for art that you made, fuck that. Sing about whatever the fuck you like. If every death metal band should apologize before every song because of misogynistic lyrics, they would play 4 songs per show.

Rammstein has lyrics about sex, incest, cannibalism etc. I don't think the singer practiced that shit, nor should he apologize for singing about it. As far as I'm concerned, he's telling a story.

I love Angel Of Death, it kicks so much ass. I look past the lyrics, don't really care about them much anyway, with any band. If it has a good riff I'm probably gonna like it.

Is it zoplicone? I was on thst shit and it did help me fall asleep but it didn't to shit to keep me asleep and it made me always have this weird metallic taste in my mouth.

It's Zolpidem, pretty mild stuff, but it gets it done.
I also take some melatonin and it helped for a while, now it's 50/50 as to if I wake up during the night or not.

I play guitar and bass, been playing for 15 years now, something like that. Haven't played guitar in a while though. First band I got into needed a bass player, and I happened to have a bass I didn't play so that was that, I've been playing bass ever since. Nowadays I actually prefer it over guitar.

We have local cave concerts here its fucking cool. 95% of it is bluegrass, Jimmy Eat World was there last month.

We play doom/sludge metal, detuned guitars etc. I'm gonna play the brown note on my bass, see if I can cause a cave in, Al Gore would have to come and save me n shit.

Fuck this I'm gonna have to go to sleep and it ain't even 10 pm. Normally I go to sleep at 10 a fucking m. This is gonna suck. It's probably not even 3pm where y'all are.

I'm gonna wake up at 4 am, gonna sit in a car for 8 hours and play a show in a fucking cave in Switzerland because fuck you it's cool.
And then back. It's gonna suck but it's also gonna be pretty awesome. I hope.
