claymore, pyromancy, ninja flip, and zweihander in ds1 (zweihander can stunlock most bosses with proper stamina usage and positioning, claymore absolutely shreds with its damage and moveset)

powerstancing (fuck ds3 for getting rid of this), rapiers, red iron twinblade, and mace in ds2/sotfs

longsword and twinswords in ds3

honestly as long as you focus on str, vig, and end its pretty hard to go wrong

Yeah i agree. I used the electric shaver and chair as an example for this reason. The chair would feel more premium, be more comfy and ergonomic, etc which are nice things to have compared to s $100 no-brand chair which will wear out in a year or 2
