Went for a 6 mile run today, felt great, ran well.

Got home and my ankle is swollen up. Zero pain, just twice the size of usual... Damn

you might want to book a consultation with a physical therapist. neck pain is no joke, especially when there are headaches associated with it. get it checked out.

Headaches associated with upper back pain are very common for "trap dominant" lifters

He just has bad form

No none of that. The pain isn't bad or anything, but if I massage the area with my hands it feels nice. I did use ice at times which felt good. Once the weather gets warmer I'll do some luke warm then cold showers.

I'd add bent over dumbbell rows to your routine. As it is you're not working the largest muscles in your upper body and you're giving yourself "hunchback" posture. The aches are just a symptom of this

I'm using a 10lbs dumbbell only. I do about 25 reps & 3 sets. Then 25 pushups of 2 sets.

I'm waiting mid-month in May to do crunches cause situps I think messed up my stomach and I got bad pain.

I have a 20lbs dumbbell also which I don't plan to use until late summer.

I'll keep that shoulder tip in mind. I typically keep my back fairly straight.

Very common for people to do pushups with shrugged shoulders

Do you do any pulling movements? Rows? Pullups? Only doing pulling will give you upper back pain as well

What do you guys do for aches/pains?

I do light workouts and I find the next day when I take a break I get light headaches and a bit of pain near my upper back and neck area. It's like I need a good massage. Just pop a back pain pill?

Working out should relieve this kind of thing, I'd suspect you are doing your exercises with shrugged shoulders

Try to keep your shoulders as far away from your ears as possible the entire movement

I personally love it. It's pretty much my whole reason for working out. As I get older it's even more rewarding.

I thought about this too, I it depends on your reasons. I was just out for a normal day enjoying myself and got suddenly and shockingly degraded by a stranger's sexual fantasies. I didn't want to be looked at and they forced it on me

If you do it to be seen then your goal has been met

I ran shirtless for the first time and got catcalled by a car of fat middle aged women (I have a six pack and whatever)

Wow I just learned so much about what it's like to be a woman every day. What a gross, deflating feeling that is
