I'm glad you asked.

At age 27, your career will likely begin to become settled or ramp up, so you're going to be working 40+ hours a week on a professional job. As a result, the vast majority of your time from this point forward to likely the day you die or become too senile to work anymore (good luck retiring) will be revolving around work/sleep.

On the social side, you will never have another meaningful relationship in your life past age 27, because around this age is when your friends start getting into serious relationships/getting engaged/getting married.

If you are single, you will pretty much never see them again, and when you do it will have to be outings scheduled 6 months in advance where your buddy (who you no longer can relate to) has to leave early because him and his wife have to get up early the next morning to look at paint swatches in Home Depot.

If you have a SO yourself, all your current and new friendships will now morph into "couples friends", where your SO meets a girl she likes, and assumes that since you and the girl's boyfriend/fiancee/husband/manslave have the same reproductive organs that you will get along.

After couples friends comes something even worse: once you have kids, you will now be demoted to having "parent friends." This is when your child meets another kid that has a shared interest in finger painting or booger picking, so you arrange a playdate and are forced to interact with the other kid's parent(s), who in this case are people that you have even LESS in common with than the couple friends.

As your kid gets older and his or her friends change, so will the parent friends filter in and out of your life, until your kid is old enough to socialize on their own and you realize that you haven't had a meaningful social connection in the last 20+ years.

"But GB," you might say. "I know how to beat the system! I'm going to have hobbies! I'm going to have an activity that I love to do that will allow me to retain some individuality, and I'll meet friends through that!"

Sounds good, but unfortunately this is not the case. Functional adults do not have hobbies; they simply do not have the time nor energy to waste on frivolous amusements (their "hobby" will be watching 30 minutes of TV a night before bed).

As a result, you will be stuck with the social leftovers; you'll be painting Warhammer 40k figurines with obese 35 year old men who live with their parents, in a crowded gamestore frequented predominantly by the same young children that you are obligated to set an example for back home.

Have fun. This is life past age 27 and it is overwhelmingly bleak.
