pretty much agreed with PO. if it's done well and it's not obvious that the creator is just doing it to be a tit then i don't care. i'd extend that to any sort of religious inclusion, not just as the villains.

discord isn't bad now that i'm kinda used to it. message board format is just easier to keep up with casually. if there are any discords going i'm happy to join them though, already in delta's.

and yeah i haven't kept up with invisionfree or any of that stuff for years and years, so that's a bummer to hear even if it is unsurprising. RIP diso. guess there's always the reddit that nobody uses.

i think most of my favorite memories involving this place end up involving a bunch of stuff outside of the website. paradiso and the off-shoot board wars and left 4 dead with the diso crew, early ass world of warcraft with clench, overwatch (the good version) with blighboy and papercup.i do hope a good portion of users end up on the discord or reddit page. it's not the end of the world but i would be bummed to lose this board entirely, i've grown to genuinely like a lot of the people here. and yeah the site's been slowly dying for years, but it feels kinda shit for someone to just swoop in and gut it like this.

it might not be a bad time for someone to make another off-shoot message board tbh.

OoT is a contender for my favorite game of all time tbh. yeah i guess it's dated but it does so much so well with what it had. i've almost certainly replayed it more than i have any other game.

I pretty much never beat MM that I don't get all the masks. All heart pieces is another story, since that's a lot (and it requires a restart after completing the Anju-Kafei sidequest so you can get the one from the mayor with the Couple's Mask, and restarting after that quest just feels wrong)

maybe i remember wrong but i don't think there's anything saying link doesn't stick around for a little bit to fix things up before he leaves. i'd imagine if you've done all the sidequests and have the masks that link would probably remember what he did to get the and could act accordingly, or even possibly get help from redeemed skull kid.

it's also been years and years since i've beaten the game though so my memory of how things went at the end is likely iffy.

Aliens, but a lot of that has to do with the fact that I'm still blown away by its VFX for the time period. Alien was nice too, but Aliens looks like it could've come out a decade and a half later.

a decade and a half later it probably would've been really shitty overdone CGI.

i made a list of my favorites in another topic and forgot marvin. i feel kinda bad because he's honestly the only character other than maybe bugs that comes close to daffy for me.

they'd never actually kill him off though. bugs and daffy have both literally died before, there's no continuity in any of these cartoons outside of on-going rivalries.

i'm pretty sure coyote caught him at least once, when he either shrunk himself or made road runner really big somehow. i wanna say there was another instance but i'm not sure so maybe not. either way still beats tweety. tbh i'm also kinda giving RR a pass because he's far less annoying than tweety ever was even if it's just by the sole virtue of his inability to talk. >____>

honestly, i like characters like quina. if they're integrated into the story well (like cait sith) then they're even better, but as long as they don't take away from or make the important parts of the story terrible i'd rather have a few silly characters around, especially if they have a cool moveset. mog has like no relevance to the story in the entire second half of FF6 but he's still one of my favorite characters.

agreed about amaranth and freya though, sadly. amaranth had just about nothing going for him, which is kind of annoying as he comes in around when eiko does if i remember right and she ends up getting more fleshed out than most of the cast. freya's just tragic. easily one of my favorites but they just forget she exists the further things go on, which is really ironic considering her quote.

some games are just meant for let's plays.

i guess tifa's pretty much a monk. i honestly don't think i've ever used zell for more than 10 minutes. fair enough though. for some reason my head seems to focus on yang and FF14 when i think of the class.

tbh looney tunes is one of those weird things to me where i just have a buttload of favorite characters. there are so many of them that are just fun to watch. wish they could come out with another series like the 2011 cartoon.

has monk ever been good in a final fantasy? other than sabin if you count him it's always felt weaker and less interesting to me than most other classes. like blue mage is iffy a lot but at least the spells are unique and interesting (and occasionally broken as fuck), i've never gotten even that kind of vibe from FF monks.

sylvester is lowkey one of the best looney tunes and debatably one of the smartest. his main opponent is also the only character with more bs plot protection than bugs bunny. he'd probably be my favorite looney tune if bugs and daffy didn't exist. and wile e.

and maybe taz.

alien was so much more terrifying. both are great but the first one is such a perfect horror movie. idk what it is about horror and space but that combo hits me good. that said, i don't blame people for preferring the second one. it's pretty much the perfect space action movie. crazy how right these two were and then all the sequels were so divisive and questionable.

i only followed them sporadically, but this still kind of saddens me. ignoring all the weird sex crimes or whatever, most of them were pretty decent people, and it's been a name that's been around almost as long as i've used the internet. i really liked funhaus as well. they'd admittedly been a shadow of their former selves for a while now and it was pretty easy to see this coming, but still this doesn't make me happy.
