| Monferno_AQW 05/15/23 5:13:43 AM #5 | Blame the anime. The Indigo League episode "Electric Soldier Porygon" is infamous for causing seizures in kids when it first aired. Ever since then, GF all but pretends it doesn't exist. The fact that it got 2 evolutions is a miracle in itself. The sad thing is that Porygon wasn't even the one who caused the strobing light effect that caused the seizures; it was a combination of Pikachu and Team Rocket.
