This thread has nothing to do with BDD and is as helpful as telling a suicidal person to suck it up.

Over a third of PoTD's poll voting population apparently think it's a good idea to pass a law that is both illegal (first amendment says hi) and unenforceable. And the third poll option is a cop out.

It's hardly the only one. Doubly so if you count behavioral addictions (which are just as valid because they can be just as crippling).

Hell, most of the people on PotD are suffering from one of the most common behavioral addictions of the modern era.

I quit caffeine cause I'm addicted to it.
I got too much anxiety from it though I love it so.
I'll allow myself to have it if it's like the only option at someone's house (besides water) or I'm sharing a drink with my lady.

I drink boat loads of juice and decaf tea to compensate. I'm sure my decaf tea has traces but it's not like...a healthy issue so I'm not worried.

Yep and I see no realistic way out for me.

I haven't consistently had any meaningful amount of caffeine for at least ~20 years. Don't feel worse without it, but I can't really say I feel any better either. *shrug*

Honestly salt has the same problem as sugar. Both have valid purposes in cooking unlike caffeine, which would make them harder to qualify what a vice is, but the modern food industry has people trained to complain if the meals aren't overloaded with both of them. It's annoying how many high quality restaurants I've ate at and thought this food would be so much better if the salt wasn't dominating the other flavors (I swear I'm one of the few people that exist that doesn't like the flavor of salt...not particularly fond of overly sweet flavors either).

One when i wake up, and a pre-workout loaded with caffeine after work at the gym.

I have been known to get headaches when I go 3+ days without. So yes, I am addicted. But at least I stopped using sugar.
