He runs up a spinning pillar in Ripper Mode. Running along a stationary wall is child's play. You're also assuming that your team hasn't left the spawn room. It's more likely the teams meet somewhere in between the two, closer to your side than mine.

Except Raiden has shown immunity to radiation in MGS4. He's not going to be affected much, if at all. And Ripper Mode Raiden is better than Dark Samus, so he can 1v1 this if it comes down to that.

She can't heal off of it or anything. Even then, it requires Dark Samus to solo Ripper Mode Raiden, Kefka and possibly Revan. She's just not good enough to do that.

I mean, do we even know that there's no phazon radiation in the room? How much protection is a small door against radiation? The radiation could seep through the door and get your team, especially if you open it to see when my team is coming.

Except that won't happen, because your team will eventually leave the boss room. In which case they're the ones that have to avoid the goop while my team shoots at them. Your argument is based on your team never leaving the starting point, which just isn't in character for several members of your team.

I don't really see Sora and Kuja sitting around waiting for my team to come around once they're over their stomach aches.

And why won't your team go out when they've gotten over their stomach aches? You're acting as if they get over their stomach aches just as my team gets there. They don't know my team is coming, or even that they can get through the platforming to get there. They're gonna want to move out at some point, and that's when the phazon gets them.

i feel like the power advantage squarely lies on team dante, so i'm gonna vote that way (dante/d. samus/kuja > raiden and revan imo). phazon wise i think team dante has the advantage (unless force heal can be proven to heal star wars radiation tbqh dont buy it) since the only guy that isn't encumbered by it on team raiden is raiden himself and that...well i dont know him well enough but i know his pain sensors are turned on, and i presume hes human enough to be poisoned. so, idk. normally a robot is good to not die to this kinda junk

Sora's like one of the first guys here who would die to the phazon. Plus he can only heal once before he has to wait about a minute for his MP bar to refill. And if he can survive the phazon, so can most of my team, meaning that he'll be too busy fighting off someone from my team to heal Dante.

Raiden's mostly a robot. He even offers to go down the microwave corridor in MGS4 because it won't have any effect on him. Revan's got his shielding too, so don't count him out.

But there's still phazon in that room. And your team is going to spend a lot of time exposed to it due to being doubled over in pain right next to it. If that stuff is as bad as advertised, even a small bit in the same room should have quite the effect.

The teleporter room that my team starts in isn't phazon ridden either. It's only once you leave the room that you encounter phazon.

Luca and Turok can get through easily. Armstrong picks them up and jumps with them. Dude can lift giant chunks of Metal Gear Excelsus. Two guys aren't going to be any trouble for him.

honestly I feel like everybody makes it to the other end fine, probably - it's what happens when teams meet that is a total mess.

Even giving them that best possible scenario (which I don't find plausible. If Revan is healing and shielding his way all the way through a terrain situation that would kill his team otherwise, he's going to be completely drained by the end) you run into a team of Dante/Damus/Sora/Dracula/Kuja/Neclord who are almost certainly over the stomach problems by then vs a team of someting like Revan/Raiden/Armstrong/Kefka at best who are not going to be in very fine shape at all. I think I win that in a straight fight, let alone one where they're battered.

If your team gets over the stomach problems so easily, why aren't they moving and exposing themselves to phazon? Nobody on your team except Dark Samus wants to get near the stuff, while Raiden, Revan and Kefka on my team don't mind it. Either your team gets over the stomach issues and gets battered by phazon too, or your team is still suffering the stomach problems, which is a big advantage in my favor.

The fight takes place at the Impact Crater. It's a fairly small terrain, meaning that the other team won't be over their stomach issues by the time the teams meet. They may not be doubled over in pain at that point, but it'll still hurt them enough to affect their combat performance.

Raiden in Ripper Mode is really good. In this mode, he can slow down time enough that raindrops move at a crawl () and he can run up a spinning pillar (). He also gets the ability to cut through Gekkos and a ball made of armored vehicles (). With the other team suffering extreme stomach cramps, Raiden may be the best person here.

Another issue here is the phazon. Well, I think my team is better equipped to handle it than the other team. They may have Dark Samus, but nobody else on the team really wants to deal with phazon. Meanwhile, I have Raiden, a robot, Revan, who has energy shields that could protect him from it, and Kefka, who has ascended to godhood. Armstrong's nanomachines might help him too. Revan also has Force Heal, which heals poisons. If it comes down to who survives the phazon, my team has the advantage.

I just don't see how having all these scrubs in a small ring near Revan doesn't end up like the Vader scene at the end of Rogue One. Plus he's got Sephiroth to help him. Then the other three recover from their suplexes and it's a stomp. It might be different if X would be willing to use neon singularity, but he's probably the last guy in Mercs who would sacrifice his teammates like that.

I looked it up, and it does 1000 damage, meaning that Roadhog or D.Va with a Sound Barrier could survive it. I buy X and Elma being tankier than that.

There's also the problem that if D.Va goes for the self destruct right away, X won't be caught in it. Then X cleans up whoever from Elma's team survived it. I don't buy D.Va's team magically having immunity to it like in game, so she's going to kill both teams equally if she uses it.

So it's a boxing match between Little Mac and Terra. This is a matchup that favors Little Mac. Terra's strength is in her magic, not her physical abilities. She's also a swordswoman, so she doesn't have much experience fighting with her fists. She's out of her element here, and that's going to hurt her fighting ability.

Now Terra might have her morph, but she can only use it for 30 seconds. If Mac can dodge Tyson enough to beat him, he can dodge Terra for 30 seconds. Remember, Tyson's uppercuts one-shot Mac and he still won. Morphing isn't going to give her any boxing experience, so she's still the same bad boxer she'd be normally, just with more power. It's not going to be enough to beat Mac.
