Male Kana is the best character in the game if only for his voice break of "this ends now!"

Kana grew on me a lot throughout the playthroughs. Something about his naivete just doesn't bother me, and I liked to make him into a wolfkin with his big sister velouria.

One of the craziest parts of Kana is that he's raised in a separate deeprealm than his sibling for no reason. Hey what a great idea, now both of our kids can feel isolated and alone and grow at different rates

The thing CF does is show a story where you can view Edelgard as a hero. The people following her have reason to, and when Rhea goes mad, Edel's ends seem to justify her means.It almost fits the story archetype so perfectly you don't naturally question a lot of Edel's choices. War over other nations to beat the evil dragon? Sure sounds like a fire emblem game, lead the way my cutie anime leader who is afraid of mice and draws yaoi. If CF was more pushed as a first route, it would be a much better route.

The other routes show definitively that Edelgard is a power-hungry monster with no redeeming characteristics, so playing as her route after feels gross and watching the characters around Edel follow her and show commitment seems disturbing in an almost fan fiction way, so I totally get what Alanna is saying

Finally someone who belongs at the bottom of the list yeah Gunther being instantly forgiven is so weird and jarring, the best part though is right after that Ananakos starts lamenting about his eternity of loneliness and Corrin essentially responds with "fuck you" and whacks him with her sword. Corrin forgiving anyone and everyone except for the eternal being in constant suffering was just so funny to me.

Yeah this is the big takeaway here. Pun got screwed, but in a way that really wasn't as bad as it could be. Surprised they actually showed up in court, but I guess they're probably familiar with the judge in the area and knew they could get something if they did.

I mean before we get to inoffensive but poor characters like Arthur and Setsuna let's talk about Corrin, who reads like a fanfiction self insert from a sociopath. Her defining characteristic is "she doesn't like to kill people" she's inconsistent and the story has to bend around her poorly written choices and actions. Other self inserts actually give Merit to their characters to give the entire cast an excuse to like them (Chris was raised to be a man of character by his grandpa, Robin was a master tactician, Byleth is god ) but Corrin has the characters throwing themselves at her feet simpl because she exists.

Then we have Iago, who has the motivations of "be a bad person" sometimes he's being manipulated by Garon, sometimes he's manipulating Garon, he doesn't really ever show what his motivations are, he has no ambitions, he's just a guy who stands next to Garon and goes "heyy evil king you ever consider murder?"

Garon himself is another weird inconsistent character. Is he a monster? Is he Corrupted old Garon? Why is he a dragon sometimes but muk other times? Does he have his own will? Sometimes he shows compassion for his children when it moves the plot along. Nothing about him makes any sense.

Basically all the fates royals are at the bottom too. Xander trusts corrin unless he doesn't and straight up doesn't let murdering his family slow him down. Leo kills Zola (Zola for CYL4) for nearly ending the war bloodlessly. Hinoka never says anything or does anything. Azura stands there the entire plot so she can sing whenever the plot needs a deus ex machina.

Setsuna grew on me with every plathrough. I like her voice acting in battle. Her supports and dialogue is garbage but I do really like the way she thanks people so sincerely for anything they say about her. PLUS Fire Emblem Heroes got me to laugh at a Setsuna in a trap joke once!

I would probably put her in my top twenty fates characters sadly

oh actually in gen 7 I used the gts a lot to get designer balls for my living dex, like to get a pokemon in a beast ball or something.

oh man I really hope they bring back the b/w trading where you had to communicate by presenting what you wanted to trade and communicating with five emojis. That was the best.

Me and my ex-wife bred hundreds of lilleeps and competed to see how many we could trade out to other people. Hands down the best time I ever had playing pokemon.

well as of now, we have around a third of a chance to see any given pokemon in a game with the current numbers.

given we get a new gen once every two years max that could be a literal decade gap(worst case, but feasible) between playing a pokemon game with your favorite pokemon in it.
