They are very different takes on BRs with Hunger games being a flashier reality show style set up surrounding the battles that I found very interesting. and Hunger games really only has one and a half books that are battle royales. Wyoming, Montana, and the Dakotas are the kinds of states that would need to worry. But yeah a state where one city is larger than a whole state should get more attention. And I say that as someone living in a state that would be largely ignored (Iowa).
