Yeah, there has actually been a good bit of drops across all the major retailers this month looking at this tracker, with best buy, amazon, and target all having restocks within the past week. They still sell out stupid fast, but its something.

https://www.tomsguide.com/news/ps5-restock-update

Just sayin', these bundles tend to be headache free when it comes to not having to compete with the dreaded scalpers+robutts and fellow gamers that have the money to buy a PS5 but not quite enough to get a bundle which cuts out a lot of the competition. Also things like the bundle games+random accessories can just be taken straight back to the store for cash so honestly you get that money right back in your pocket but eh , its fine either way.

Figure I would drop this here for those who don't like touching the PS5 boards (which I don't blame you for, lol). From what I understand they should have them soon the store open up, and yeah they will be bundles so its probably going to be like 750 dollars or so.

Also, be a pro member. 14.99 a year or 19.99 for getting game informers in the mail. Go go go.

Whats the point of game pass if you just have to buy the games when they take them off? Recently they took off the yakuza games and Nier automata as well right?
Yeah, 3rd party games regularly come and go...only microsoft published stuff is expected to stay on there for as long as possible, but games like those and things like scarlet nexus n' tales of vesperia definitive edition should be played while they are there. Game pass is basically just netflix for video games....now if you are the type of gamer who plays a ton of games and can dedicate a good amount of hours (and at the same time does not care much for actually replaying games that is beaten) into each game then a service like this really has value. You also get to potentially try out smaller indie like games that you possibly would have either missed out on or never bothered with before if you had to buy it. Discover new things and whatnot.

Now for gamers like me, who sometimes has enough time in the day to put in a lot of gaming hours and sometimes don't, but at the same time prefer to take my time with playing variety of games instead of feeling the pressure or need to play certain games before they are potentially removed from the service, something like game pass is not for me. Something like the entire yakuza series, that is something I like to take my time with since these games can be pretty lengthy....its something I rather own so I can play at my leisure. RPGs in general is a genre I rather own so I don't feel pressured into getting through them asap before they are potentially removed. I would never expect for 3rd party games to stay on there for that long a period.

Games, both the mainstream and indie type of games tend to regularly go on sale so actually buying stuff will always be my preferred way to play, but I also see how game pass can be useful for other types of gamers. (It can also be a good thing for those countries where the price of new games is crazy high....get the cheaper xbox series s and gamepass and you can have a more budget friendly way to play new releases).

I see that the game is onlinebetter to play it offline I hope cause I dont want people showing up while Im gaming, if thats the case
You can still play online if you like seeing various player messages and whatnot....what people normally do is that everytime they kill a boss and get their fleshy bits back they would just go straight to the nexus/the hub and kill yourself via falling from up high. Like post 10 said, if you die as a human in a actual world the "world tendency" will turn dark (basically the game gets harder......its a very backwards system. You would think dying=make the game easier and not dying=make the game harder, but whateves), and a lot of times being at a certain world tendency level means certain items disappear. Normally its recommended to go through the game with your worlds at white tendency so you can get all the white tendency only items, and at the very end have a friend or something kill you over and over to turn the worlds dark tendency so you can get those items.

If you are in ghost form then there is no world tendency changes thus why you should play through the game as a ghost so you don't have to worry about the world tendency stuff. Basically play the game>kill a boss>the boss' death will automatically change you to a fleshy human>immediately fast travel to the nexus>kill yourself. There is a ring you can equip that will give you 50 percent more HP in ghost form so you aren't always running around at half HP (basically you will have 75 percent of your max HP), and if you are about fashion there is also a ring that will give you the "alive" appearance despite being a ghost.

If you care about getting all the rings in the game (which is a trophy if you care about that) then pick the Providential Ring as your starting gift. The only other way to get that ring is to upgrade a certain weapon to plus 8 and trade the weapon to the item tradin' crow.

In general you get a lot of use out of the ring since it boost item discovery rate.

I played the absolute shit out of the PS4, and I am still buying PS4 games of niche stuff to play on my PS5 off of limited run games (my physical PS4 limited run games copy of zombies ate my neighbors n' ghoul patrol should be arriving in the next day or so actually). The switch is my nintendo exclusive machine since it's performance for the vast amount of jrpgs and those PS4 shared japanese games like dbz kakarot, Ys monstrum nox n' the world ends with you neo for example is way too slack at this point....well that and portability is something that doesn't really matter to me much these days since I am always gaming on my 65 inch TV anyway. My switch was a dust ball for the longest time but recently I've been messing around in rune factory 5.

I have a like, 380 game plus PS4 game library that carried over right away to the PS5 since I had all the PS4 game installs on my 8 TB external HDD.

My xbox one s was a glorified cable box back when I had dish network years back. Its a gears of war 4 special edition model so I never had the heart to sell it off, but yeah, its not really used much at all.

PS4>Switch>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>xbox one.

They could if all those studios they bought actually produces games and don't either get denied (I recently watched that "wut happun? perfect dark zero video by matt mcmuscles....its wild how microsoft totally self-sabotaged on that and the sequel games the rare guys at the time was apparently really motivated to make) or just flat out cancelled like that last fable attempt and scalebound.

I'm kind of meh on the fact that I bought a xbox one s last generation and did not use it much at all (I bought the gears of war 4 bundle since I used to be a huge gears of war fan. I.....don't like the way the new guys is running the gears of war series these days. I tried both 4 and 5 and felt "eh" on both compared to the greatness that was gears of war 3), so I am definitely on wait and see mode this time around. Hopefully they actually do something with all those wrpg studios.

Looks to be a nice console for those that love the game subscription thing though.

No. Nepheli, alexander, and D all survived the entirety of the boss fights they helped me with...especially alexander, he a ol' tanky pot bastard.

I personally beat a lot of the end game bosses on my first try dual-wielding rivers of blood and a occult nagakiba (alongside using hoslow's whip, urumi whip, and great stars when something needed strike type bashing) and summoning my best friend/buddy mimic tear or black knife tiche as a 55 dex 55 arcane weeb. I did had to actually put in effort to beat malenia, the one two headed dragon in farum azura and the final boss combo, but admittedly bosses like the godskin duo, fire giant, maliketh and so on got freaking melted.

Even though the bleed arcane stuff hits hard, I still don't think its quite a automatic I win button in pve.....still got to be a little decent to get up close and not face plant. (Not unless its something like using the dragon's seal and spamming swarm of flies or something since the dragon's seal has arcane scaling).

You wanna talk installation being stupid, on the disc PS5 if you're installing a game from disc that installs in two parts (as in it installs part of it so you can start playing, and then a second part), it doesn't actually install that second part from the disc, it literally downloads it from the PSN servers instead.
You can install the whole game off disc by intentionally going offline, but yeah.....its still dumb. I'm assuming they did it that way since they figure it would be faster installing one part off disc one part off the net compared to the entire thing off disc. This method is probably a good thing for those with fiber internet, but kinda' eh' for people like me rocking that basic tier 200 down 10 up spectrum internet.

i guess I relied too much on the colossal hammer damage to kill them quickly without them retaliating. weapons like katana stun them for like 3 hits and then they jump away. i thought whip would work but it too slow. Im used to whip being a fast weapon like in runescape xd.
Yeah, they are some quick bastards. Since I played the entire way using katanas, whips, occasionally claws, twinblades and bows the R2 counter hits and flame arrows was the most reliable method I had, lol. Elonora's poleblade and especially rivers of blood ruin their day although it was a long while before I got those weapons.

Crumbling crucible knight is making me want to quit lol
lmao, its pretty telling when the message that I put down after I beat him that says nothing but "...dastard" reached like 200 something likes and also surpassed other messages I had that I put down ever since the game launched in february in the span of two days. That crucible knight was a asshole, lol.

encountered those hand enemies for the first time. Really cool design, but holy crap are they annoying to fight
Ah yeah, those big hands was a friggin menace, lol. As a melee guy I found the best way to deal with them is to equip whatever shield that you have been putting smithing stones into (for me it was always the brass shield) to level up it's guard boost stat, equip the greatshield talisman so that guard boost stat is even higher, and just rely on the R2 guard counters to deal with them. It works pretty easy on them.

Also, using fire helps a lot....they will start flailing around for a bit when hit with fire.

Game probably had my favorite soundtrack for a open world game ever. Like, this game alongside GTA5's original ost (bully also, can't forget about that) made me a believer that rockstar really can make some amazing music without having to rely on radio stations to do it.

Don't even remember micah landing a hit because I had this song pumping me up, lol.

Man.......I really should just trade in my PS4 pro for that juicy trade in credit, lol.

On one hand it constantly gathers dust and I'm not going to actually play games on it since I have a PS5. On the other, it can be useful to have if I for whatever reason need a streaming box in another room, or if I have that nostalgic feeling to cut it on and let it idle with the nice collection of chill dynamic themes I have for it.

(Seriously though, dynamic themes is like the number one thing I want sony to hurry the fuck up and add to the PS5 besides VRR).
