The thing costs 25 mana by itself, and I don't think they said how much the other one costs.

Also it seems a tad unreliable as it can heal them or give them a buff.

Berserker's sheets were pretty straightforward; he was a masochist.

Once gotten lower than 200 health, he got some buffs.

Then he could spend another 100 and go absolutely bat**** in combat

All that unreduceable, unavoidable AoE...and burning too, OH LAWD that burning

Not as good as Samus' Ice Missiles though, from what I've heard.

You could get around the initial "lower than 200 health" thing by a spell, but it wasn't as good(couldn't activate certain skills, at the very least) and was still pretty expensive imo.


Also, my master was a kuudere loli and she was moe. However, she had another resource that was derpy. Things costed a little too much as well.

I think new ideas towards classes is indeed fresh and new; we restrict ourselves with trying to fit the mold of the seven traditional classes. Yay, Archers with vision/sniping and Assassins with presence concealment and ambushing. There are a bunch of cliches about the war that we have come to expect whenever we play.

By calling it a HGW, we are promising that the war will resemble wars of the past. It'd be fun if we took out things traditional HGW rules in order to spice things up.

Those are terrible examples >_>.

It'd help if either of the boards were open to the public. I do like what I've heard though, even if there is one guy who is upset that his Saber was more of a Caster(and wont go any deeper into why he doesn't like Saber).

Based off all the 'fresh, new ideas' Lilly just proposed, I'm convinced he himself is unable to think outside the box. War Boct's army idea was fresh and new, if implemented terribly.

They were examples that came to mind midrant; however, I feel like they still had some merit to them. I'm sure we can think of better ones if we actually did give serious thought to it.

The CS cost had more to do with JUST getting around the execution system

It's to stop people from trading servants around without much consequence. Remember War 11? Some teams traded servants so they got each other's sheets as well as their status, iirc.

There is also the fact that people can trade buffs more easily too.

and I don't think he had completely thought it through, or he would have done what Ryo did in 18; once you spend all CS, you cant form new contracts.



We need to seriously sit down and talk about how to introduce new people to our circle, imo. We cant just wait until signups and wait for new people to check our stuff out.


Public opinion is derpy at best imo. Often enough, the first opinion people hear is the one that gets ingrained into their memories. Even more so if it's from someone who people think has a 'good' opinion. Also, if enough people start saying things, others will simply agree with it without thinking too hard about it.

Honestly, some wars are under appreciated imo. Let's look at SZ's war. We all gave up on that pretty much, yet the guy had some cool ideas from what I've heard. Also, we had some bad ideas about War Boct from what I can tell.


As for people getting tired; We should try some fresh, new ideas. Maybe even drop some limitations that we put on ourselves. Do we really need to do the seven traditional classes? How about new ideas about CS and contracting? How about we start by dropping the HGW title in the first place?

I think such systems are only toys for people to work around. People often tried and actually did come up with ways to work around these systems. For example, Rider in the War of Friends(that war did have an 'Execution' System) managed to eliminate Lancer because they went to a place no one else was, broke their contract, attacked each other, then reforged a contract. I'm also interested in what makes you think the systems encourage fighting.


I think we should look within ourselves to deal with the problem of new players. The wars aren't very friendly towards new people, tbqh. I remember how rough I had it in 11.


'Second one': What makes a quality GM? How about a quality war? I feel like this is left to the public to decide. I also think that we treat everything Avvil touches as gold, whether it was actually good or not...but that is a topic I'd rather not talk about on GameFAQs.


Third: I guess the age does lower the amount of new ideas we can use, but it has also taught us what does and does not work.

Let's face it; those who make friends with everyone and let others fight usually do much better than the opposite.


There's also very little benefit for people to start fights, outside of making someone spend a resource of some sort(cooldown, CS, etc).


I bet there are people who's sheets are better suited towards defense and/or team building(This war's Archer had a NP that lets him hide many people for half the week and effectively takes them out of the picture, as well as skills that lets him see stuff/snipe and another that lets him flee midturn). and then there's the hidden home base and the fact we can CS summon in this war...what's to stop someone from having at least one person camp in their hidden home base?


There's also the problem that 'everyone' knows that Rider/Caster/Berserker are around causing trouble. The other four teams will most likely try to make friends with at least one other team, or try to join the three man team.



Frankly, I think the Grail Wars will die unless we learn how to properly encourage fighting. Otherwise, everyone will simply make nakama and make weenies.
