Looking at Murders on the Yangtze River and wondering if I oughta try that one next. I finished it the other day. I'd say it plays more like the AAI games but with a better presentation (and arguably better story). The Ace Attorney segments don't have any pressing at all and the investigation segments do not have Y-axis movement at all. Even though I've compared this to the two AAI games, there are courtroom segments. What it does do well is the presentation and the ideas they present, even if they can be a little difficult at times. Although there's no pressing in the Ace Attorney stuff, sometimes what you're cross-examining might not even be a witness at all in which case you'll be given background images for each statement. Other unique mechanics are in this game that you likely won't ever see in an Ace Attorney game. The game also has a glossary for detailed descriptions of notable events or people in Chinese history (particularly the Qing Dynasty, this takes place in early 20th century China) and explanations for some homicide investigation terms (example: defense wounds). Length-wise, this game is six cases but realistically six and a half. You can extend the length of the game by going for all the achievements, about half of which are about presenting wrong and getting all the game overs (Papers Please endings). Personally speaking, I ended up loving Murders on the Yangtze River and consider it a must-play for people who are okay with the idea of "Ace Attorney Investigations But Better" --- Someday, I too will become Florida Man. |

Geese Howard (Fatal Fury) Mike Tyson (Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!) Malenia, Blade of Miquella (Elden Ring) The reason for Geese Howard is because he is the birth of "SNK Boss Syndrome." Pros: Cons: Compared to other Ace Attorneys: Solidly mid tier. Doesn't hit the highs that Ace Attorney hits but doesn't hit the lows that Ace Attorney hits either. AAI2 > 3 > 6 > 1 > TC > 2 > 5 > AAI1 > 4 feels right. --- Someday, I too will become Florida Man. |

Metal Gear Solid Tomb Raider Resident Evil FF7 and MGS1 are locks, Tomb Raider was a big enough deal that I don't think I can not put it on this list. The problem here is that fourth game. RE1, Gran Turismo 2 (Not 1, 2), Tekken 3, and Crash Bandicoot. My gut says RE1 because that game caused the genre to blow up. --- Someday, I too will become Florida Man. |

Final Fantasy X Grand Theft Auto III Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec MGS2 I think is a "no ifs, ands, or buts." FFX is a pretty safe lock even if I myself hate the game. GTA3, although GTA:SA is more popular, GTA3 had the influence to be in a Rushmore. LightningStrikes posted... Gran Turismo 3 was Sonys highest selling game ever for like 15 years and really pushed the racing genre to new heights. Blaziken Nuzleaf Gardevoir Mudkip is a no ifs, ands, or buts lock. Blaziken made history among tryhards (First starter to get banned by Smogon). Nuzleaf is because of the Nuzlocke challenge.
