I've been disappointed in CSM's art recently. Feels like it hit the inevitable manga-author-burnout phase, which hurts some of the big important scenes.

With that said Asa is consistently fantastic. Her 'date' with Denji was legitimately hilarious.

No rush, please get some rest.

These are good characters but Sans/2B feels like it would have been a much better final.

Endwalker has some big pacing issues, but I loved the high points. Not feeling anything from the Hydaelyn trial is definitely surprising, that was hype as hell.

My gaming news comes from B8 and reddit. Never seen Animal Well talked about in those circles. I rarely ever watch Direct stuff.

Conversely, Eiyuden has been posted about here repeatedly.

Never heard about it before this week, but I'll take you guys' word for it.

These characters are surprisingly similar. Goofy, lovable comic reliefs who completely flip your perception of them in the last stretch of the game.

Gave separate rankings for with/without DLC because I feel like people aren't going to consider those cases as strongly when ranking the games as a whole.

Trial and Tribulations is a monster. Its worst case (at a 6.6) is better than half the series averaged out.

Investigations 1 is the only game without a case that scored above 6/10. Truly a consistently underwhelming experience.

Spirit of Justice's average really gets tanked by its DLC.

Layton is propped up by its third case.

Book -> Manga adaptations are tough. Due to limited panel real estate space, stories with a heavy focus on dialogue and introspection translate poorly. Cuts will need to be made, and liberties will need to be taken. Sometimes that works out fine, but it's tricky and requires a specific kind of writing skillset.

Source: someone whose work is currently being adapted to a comic format, and failed at properly condensing a scene when given the opportunity to try my hand at it.

Multiclassing is viable, but if this is your first foray into D&D systems sticking with one class would probably be easier.

And yeah, prioritize INT over every other stat for a Wizard. If the game lets you increase INT, then do so immediately. To give some examples for other classes: if you were a Rogue you would be doing the same for DEX, and if you were a Sorcerer you would be focusing on CHA.

LNs generally have a better/more complete story, but the quality of the prose is usually not great, so if you're used to reading actual books it can be a struggle.

I'm not familiar with Wizard, but most D&D classes are all about mixmaxing. You put your key stats as high as you possibly can and ignore everything else. Strength on a Wizard seems like a complete waste - if you need someone to move a rock, have another party member do it. If you get into a situation where you're alone and there's a rock you can't move, then that's just how it is. No class can do everything.
