I was just stating that I have had discussions around currency, and "But the dollar is backed by gold" has come up more than once. The whole reason I put lol in the initial message was that I know it's no longer backed by gold.

I suppose we could alter the discussion a little. Do you feel the current fiat model is sustainable? If so, how do you feel about advancements in technology that are set to challenge this model?

No one really talks about the cisgender women who have been banned from Olympic level sports due to their hormone levels in this discussion either. Pretty sure Annet Negesa would still be in the Olympics if she was from the Western world. If she is banned for a genetic advantage, then Michel Phelps should be too.

I like how many people probably didn't read the post, or are ignoring the fact she is an alternate because she got 5th during qualifiers.
