Close your eyes and think of Pringles. You're probably imagining that simple arched potato chip inside a cylinder can, aren't you? Well, Pringles wants you to re-think that notion, because it's dropping an all-new snack that it calls "out of this world" and "out of the can."

On Monday, Pringles announced the addition of Pringles Mingles to its lineup, which it described as "a puffy, irresistibly delicious, and shareable snacking experience unlike one youve ever had from Pringles."

The new snack comes in bite-size, bowtie-style puffs, which are inspired by Mr. Ps signature look. It includes three flavors, Cheddar & Sour Cream, White Cheddar and Ranch, and Dill Pickle & Ranch.

As the brand explained, the Cheddar flavor comes with "hints of buttery cheddar cheese seamlessly blend with creamy, tangy sour cream notes," while its White Cheddar & Ranch flavor includes "harp, aged white cheddar cheese flavor meets zippy buttermilk and herb ranch notes." And, its Dill Pickle flavor comes with "zesty dill pickle mingles with buttermilk and herbaceous ranch notes."

Pringles Mingles will hit grocery store shelves across the country this October. But, as Pringles explains on its website, "when combined, you can make 318,000 unique flavor stacks." So go ahead, collect some cans, have a little science experiment, and make a flavor all your own. If you like Hogan's Heroes, The Password is Courage is pretty much the precursor to it.

It is never been stated if HH was inspired by The Password is Courage, but the show definitely takes some inspiration from it even Hogan's outfit is similar to Charles Coward.

SEASIDE, Calif. (KSBW) - A California man who was told by city officials he needed to put a fence up to hide his boat from public view did just that with a twist.

Etienne Constable says he received a letter from the City of Seaside in July 2023. The city required him to build a 6-foot coverage screen in front of his boat. After discussing the plan with his neighbor, Constable decided to build the fence with a lifelike painting of the boat on it.

Im not a rule-breaker, but I like to make a political statement as necessary, as well as a humorous statement and a creative statement, Constable said.

He says hes happy with how the mural turned out.

Images of the fence have gone viral online, with thousands of comments across social media. Both Constable and Hanif Panni, the artist behind the display, say they were surprised by how big of a response the painting has received.

Im all in favor of generating discussion and making people smile, Constable said. The reaction is extremely more than we ever expected, and were both just tickled about it.

So far, the city has not responded to the fence mural. Constable says he considers it a First Amendment right of expression and would be surprised if the city tells him to take the mural down.

Panni, who has murals around the Central Coast, says the piece creates a conversation about whats an eyesore and what is art.

Im a big proponent of public art in spaces, he said. It engages people in ways that reaching out and having conversations doesnt sometimes.

With all the attention the fence is getting, Panni says other Seaside residents have already asked for him to create murals for their boat fences.

A woman was found living in the rooftop sign of a Family Fare grocery store in Michigan and had been there for about a year, police said.

Police in Midland were notified about the woman living in the small space that hosts the supermarkets sign on April 23 after contractors working on the roof found her there.

The woman had flooring, a computer, a desk, a printer, a Keurig and a pantry of food in the space, which was 10 to 15 feet long, five feet wide and approximately 8 feet tall at its highest point, according to the Midland Police Department.

We made contact with her and she was advised she was not allowed to live there, said Brennon Warren, a spokesperson for the Midland Police Department. She was formally trespassed from the store and was provided with information on services within our area, however, she did not wish for any of those.

The woman, who police are not identifying, left without incident. Police found that shed been living in the space for approximately one year, but its not clear how she was getting up onto the roof.

She was not formally charged for living in the space, police said.

The NFL has already announced it will have games on Christmas Day in 2024 despite the holiday falling on a Wednesday. In advance of the NFLs schedule release, set for mid-May, word has now leaked that those games will be on a streaming platform new to the NFL. Netflix is the reported home for NFL games on Christmas, per John Ourand of Puck Sports.

Netflix will be the third streaming-exclusive destination for NFL fans following Amazon Prime Video and Peacock from NBCUniversal.

Adding paywalls is nothing new for the NFL. Since 1987, ESPN has carried NFL on cable television. Those games werent previously available to fans of other teams, though, so it was a value add, since the home markets still were able to see the games for free on broadcast television simulcasts. When the NFL added Thursday night games in 2006, they were also on cable television, this time on NFL Network.

NFL games have been available on streaming as an additional viewing option for several years, but it wasnt until 2022 that the league began broadcasting games exclusively on a streaming platform. Amazon purchased the rights to Thursday Night Football broadcasts, and youve needed a Prime Video subscription in order to watch those games (unless youre in the teams home market).

In 2023, the NFL again partnered with Amazon to create a brand new streaming package for one Black Friday game per year. They also expanded their streaming services with the addition of a Peacock-exclusive regular season game. Now instead of one streaming service plus some way to watch ESPN, you needed two streamers.

The angst of the media and fans didnt rise up at any of those changes. These games werent previously available to viewers, so there wasnt an uproar. Games were more available, not less. Before games came to cable and streaming, you wouldnt have been able to watch them on Sunday over the air. Now you had the chance.

That all changed in 2023, when the NFL moved one of the Wild Card games exclusively onto Peacock, NBCUniversals streaming service and said the moves was good for fans. Now a game that had previously been available for free to everyone nationwide was going behind a paywall. And it worked. Really really well.

Nearly 3 million new subscribers signed up for Peacock to watch the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Miami Dolphins in January 2024. Not only did they stay for the free trial, they converted and actually paid money. Reports say 71% of the new subscribers stayed on the streaming platform after the playoff game and with NBCs coverage of the Summer Olympics coming to Peacock in 2024, it was a monumental win for the streaming service.

Enter Netflix. They have been dipping their toe into live programming since a disastrous April 2023 broadcast of the Love Is Blind reunion special was 90 minutes late after technical difficulties. They have presumably worked out the kinks with smaller live shows since. In January, Netflix is going to be the new home to one of cable TVs top live sporting events when WWEs Monday Night Raw makes the move to streaming. It seems that before we get to January, Netflix is going to have even bigger sports events streaming on their service.

This feels more similar to losing the Wild Card game than it does the previous moves to streaming and cable. Since the NFL began regularly broadcasting on Christmas Day in 2020, only one game has been exclusively on cable TV (2021s NFL Network game), with the other eight being nationally broadcast for free. The NFL and Netflix are moving a game that was previously available for free and moving it behind a paywall.

And that stinks. It stinks for folks who are pinching pennies and cutting streaming services out of their budgets. It stinks for NFL fans who want to watch potentially some of the biggest games on the stretch run to the postseason. It stinks for the players, because the NFL is having four teams play on short rest two weeks in a row in order to place games on Wednesday.

Over that stink, though, is the smell of money. The NFL is always looking for new revenue streams and Netflix couldnt be happier to provide it.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has said the NFL wont make you pay to watch a Super Bowl in his lifetime, but he didnt rule out more playoff games going to streaming services as they try to make these new partners happy.

With the Christmas games out of the way, perhaps the next broadcast package the NFL will sell is the Sunday morning European game slate as part of the leagues international series. While several of those games have been exclusive to NFL Network, the league can make more money grouping those games together with a new partner. With Disney+ entering the live sports space this year alongside Netflix, and the mounting streaming wars driving competition around the space, its just a matter of time until we see the next deal.
