Shit, I'm 31 and most of the people I've met who are into their mid-20s still aren't emotionally mature enough for a relationship, let alone a sexual one. 18 is not a magic number. Even if they're legal, it doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Legal standards regarding age are somewhat arbitrary and not entirely congruous, either. Considering the legal age for sex is generally 18 but the legal age for alcohol is generally 21, that means according to the law you are mature enough to engage in sexual intercourse and even bring new life into the world (i.e., you are responsible enough to take care of another life) years before you are mature enough to make responsible decisions about what you drink. Eh?

Still, the line has to be drawn somewhere.

Let's say warriors from various universes are gathered to battle against an opponent whose powers rival that of the angels (yeah, some of this is stolen from Dragon Ball Heroes but whatever).

Meanwhile Goku is training with the Grand Priest in the mystical realm. Anyway, what I would love to see is this omnipotent adversary unleash a massive fatal attack that literally kills every single major character. Vegeta was there, Gohan, Hit, Jiren, Toppo, you name it. Everyone is wiped out.

Goku senses that something terrible has happened so he asks the Grand Priest to teleport him to the location. There he arrives and nothing but smoldering ashes; even the bodies of the victims have been vaporized. Stunned, he stands in silence... then suddenly, feels a flicker of energy. It feels like someone is still alive, but just barely.

Goku flies around the desolate ruins, searching for this glimmer of hope.

He looks down. This music starts playing...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7Tg_wjWT1g

...he sees an outline of a figure, his red and black uniform in tatters.

Goku: "...J-... Jiren!"

Goku rushes to Jiren's aid, astonished that he has managed to withstand the brutal attack of the villain, an attack even Goku admits he wouldn't have been able to withstand.

Jiren (barely able to open his eyes and speak, barely clinging to life): "So-- Son Goku..."

Goku: "It's okay, Jiren. I'm here."

Jiren: "...his power... it was..." Jiren can no longer find the energy to speak.

Goku grabs a senzu bean in his pocket and puts it in Jiren's mouth, helping him chew.

Given a few moments to digest the senzu bean, Jiren is finally revitalized, explaining to Goku what happened.

This eventually culminates in MUI Goku and Limit-breaker Jiren working together to defeat the omnipotent adversary, a villain Goku alone would not have been able to conquer...

As in, the stuff he was saying made no sense. Fortunately no one else was in the store (he may have scared them off, otherwise) but I was a little perturbed myself. He's pretty old (maybe sixties?) and was riding his bike down the street and randomly decided to come inside.

He was talking about the cha cha dance, people breaking pencils and making him do their homework, and other random crap like that. But then he asked me if I would accept "the power" or if I had religious reservations, whatever that meant. Then he said it's better to drop out than be a dead hero. So I'm like WTF at this point.

Fortunately, a contractor called to place an order. Even after she hung up, I pretended like I was still on the phone and just kept talking until the guy left. I kinda feel bad because I don't know if he has mental issues like dementia or schizophrenia, but that was pretty unnerving...

  • Keep in mind Parkinson's law: "work expands to fill the time allotted for its completion." In other words, if a person has two hours to complete a certain task that does not necessarily require two hours for completion, they will typically use the entire two hours to complete that task, simply because they have a little "free time." Therefore, give yourself a smaller window within which to work; give yourself thirty minutes even if you think it will require an hour, because the time crunch will force you to work harder, faster, and smarter than you normally would; and many times, you will get it done in the half hour, or whatever time you allotted yourself.
  • Reduce the amount of time you spend cruising YouTube videos with one simple technique: select the option to accelerate the video's play speed. Usually x2 is far too fast to really enjoy the video, so x1.5 is a pretty good balance. x1.5 speed means you will get through a video in 2/3 the time (so if you spend three hours on YouTube, that time will be cut back to two hours). At the very least, increase the playback time to x1.25; typically this increase won't really be noticeable while you're watching the video, but it reduces the time spent watching the video by 20% (4/5 the usual duration). So if you spend three hours cruising YouTube, simply by adjusting the speed to x1.25 you will save yourself 36 minutes, cutting the three hours back to 2 hours and 24 minutes.
