The stories are ok but nothing special. It's the characters that really shine - they probably have the most authentic humour of any game I've played

Hollow Knight is amazing, but based on what you've said about backtracking I could see that turning you off the game. There are a lot of areas where you will get lost and need to explore to figure out where to go next (usually going back to an old area after unlocking a new skill). Just a warning, I'd keep seeing it through while you're enjoying it though, and the exploration is for me one of the best parts of HK anyway

Nah, ME has never been the kind of series with good bosses. In ME1 you can even avoid fighting the last boss if you want, and ME2's last boss was completely out of place

ME3's last mission is actually amazing, it just gets ruined by everything after THAT point

I replayed both X and X-2 earlier this year.

I played the the HD remaster version on PS3 and it looked quite impressive for a PS2 game.

The graphics were fantastic for its time

I watched someone do back-to-back first playthroughs of FFX and FFX-2 recently, and it made me realise that while I 100%ed both games and played them for roughly the same amount of time as a kid, I remember most of FFX but absolutely nothing of FFX-2.
