It is paid off. But if I have a minivan, don't really need a truck... Since I bought the truck back in 2019, I've only ever hauled stuff like less than 10 times, and all of those times, a minivan could have fit all that crap I put on the truck bed.

Get one where the rear seats fold down, and you can pretend to not be a parent sometimes.

We're looking at the Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid Pinnacle model for like $60k before tax credits. Reasons:
*Cheapest new minivan we can find is around $40k, and with extra features we want (driving assist, since this will be a cross country car as well when we decide to do that), it's closer to $50k.
*The Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid gives $7500 federal credit + $2500 state credit, so it's -$10000 off whatever we pay.
*The Limited trim plus the driver assist features is like $500 less than the Pinnacle (which is fully loaded by default), and the Pinnacle comes with better stuff.

Being a parent sucks ass.

So she found a vet that'll do it for $300, front and back, for both of her cats.

Politely let your coworker know about the physical and mental pain that declawing a cat causes. Many people are ignorant of this and think it is no different that cutting nails.

If she already knows and is doing it anyway, tell her that she's a piece of shit and should give her cat to someone who will take care of it.

So she knows. Currently, the cats are apparently locked in her bathroom because she has heirloom furniture around the house that's been passed down through her family for a couple of generations. She wants to protect these furnitures.

She wanted to declaw her two cats, both front and rear paws. Vet recommended only the front for $250 per cat, but she wanted the "complete package" and get all 8 paws declawed. She said the vet didn't offer any discounts on doing all 8, and that the vet wanted $1000... She's now calling around different vet offices to get prices.

I'm actually excited about this because iRobot has been dropping the ball on innovation and their Roombas suck compared to Chinese companies like RoboRock. I hope with Amazon, they can make better, more innovative, robots.

Like I get it when the guy with a fancy sports car parks at a dumb angle across four spaces. But if your truck is just big, and you park far away on purpose....People are just being dumb.

He doesn't mean take two spots side to side, but he means taking two spots front and back, because a full size truck is long.

Not all of us are students bro. Also 600 with a hundred in credit and 50 dollar discount isn't a 450 dollar purchase. It's a 550 dollar purchase with an extra hundred to spend later at no additional cost. And frankly that doesn't go very far with apple unless you're getting gift cards cause I don't recall them selling much for only a hundred bucks that people actually want.

You literally don't have to be students to get edu discounts brah. Apple doesn't check in any way and you don't even need an edu email.

$100 apple gift card can be used with all sorts of services you most likely already subscribe too; and if you don't, you can sell it for $85 to gift card secondary markets.

4th gen air has been getting clearenced out to make way for the 5th gen M1 air. Costco has them for 400 at the moment. You get better support, apple pencil 2 support, magic keyboard support and a better design imo for not much more money. That sale might be over today though. Had I not got my 256 GB on sale for like 350 at best buy months ago I would have been looking into the 64 GB air instead.

Not worth buying a 4th gen iPad Air for $400 when you can get a 5th gen iPad Air with the M1 chip and 2 extra years of support for $450 (via $50 education discount and $100 gift card promo).

Brah, the fucked up thing is I'm using my dad's mower for his small yard, which is a 40V Ryobi battery powered mower!!! Like wtf is this bitch complaining about?!

To clarify, dad bought this new mower on Friday to replace the old gas mower, and I never used an electric mower before so brought my hearing protection.

Some side comments: Electric mower is pretty damn quiet, but it also seems way too weak. I don't know if that's just a perception because of the lack of noise or if it's real... Like I will not trust this thing to be able to cut 6" grass.

As someone with a Pixel 6 Pro since launch and moved from iPhone 12 Pro, between your two options, S22 Ultra, even though I never used a Galaxy phone.

I fell for the marketing way too hard. Pixel 6 Pro is not ready for prime time flagship level of phone. I regret my choice significantly, and I'm just waiting for the iPhone 14 Pro to be released in September to go back to iOS.

I went over my dad's place to help him cut grass this morning at around 8am, prior to temperatures rising to freaking 88F later today, and his neighbor came out and asked me to stop. I told him no, I want to finish cutting my dad's grass so I can go back to my house and do my things. Neighbor started to escalate and started outright screaming and yelling at me.

I trolled her by putting my hearing protection back on and that made her visibly start to turn red. This whole thing made me start laughing, and she just turned around and stomped her way back to her house.

Applied for a new managerial position at an engineering firm last week, and HR called me today, a Saturday, at 6pm to schedule an interview tomorrow, Sunday, at 10am.

The convo basically went:
Them: We would like to interview you as soon as possible. Would now work?
Me: No. Let's target Monday morning.
Them: How about tomorrow?
Me: What is the rush?
Them: The hiring manager is going on vacation overseas next week, and we'd like to get through the first round of interviews with you before she leaves.
Me: Okay, let's do tomorrow then.

Turn off live TV DVR recording. What's happening is its recording stuff you like from live TV, when you think you are selecting the streaming option, a lot of times it's that prerecorded version, which has ads, because it was recording it live.

Try it, give it time for your DVR queue to clear and see if it fixes this issue.

I don't have any DVR recordings. I'm literally streaming from Hulu . Guessing my account is bugged.
