If you're gonna compare 2D Mario game to COD I'm just gonna point out that there have been 12 of them that span over 30 years while COD has had 21 that span over 15 lol. Not only that there has been less than 1 every 2 years on average, the New Super Mario Bros Series, The classic NES Mario Series, and Super Mario World, all have 3 very distinct styles and gameplay mechanics. They differ so greatly that they included all 3 of them in Mario Maker specifically because they play so differently. The sub-genres of the COD franchise which are mainly just Black ops and MW now and then every other in between game, all play, feel, and even look nearly identical. The only differences in them are almost entirely just map changes and some different guns. The comparison of COD to even just platform only Mario games is utterly fucking stupid and laughable.
