It's more of an RPG than FF16 is.

The weapons still give access to skills, and you can focus characters around certain builds.

And Remake is just as linear as Midgar was in the original. Not that linearity is a trait of an RPG anyway.

I wasn't allowed to watch until the movie came out, even though they let me watch The Simpsons (I think it's because they hated B&B, but liked The Simpsons).

The movie was great, and the show was pretty good. I never liked the music video riffing as much as everyone else though.

The barrier of entry is more daunting with the large amount of imprints, series, and crossovers compared to manga. Manga is also more bang for your buck per page.

This. I was expecting it to be a reference to the Diddy and Reginald VelJohnson thing.

I liked it. I felt like the final act just had everything happen at once (i.e. literally every character got killed off immediately). The ending was also as sudden, but it grew on me.

Then I looked it up and there was some review-bombing because it apparently used AI art. It's still fine on its own merits.

I don't think I'll watch it live, but I've seen clips from Smackdown, so I know it's going to be wild.

Yeah, it's been rent-free in my head ever since learning about it. Some years ago, a guy on Youtube documented it in vlogs, and over time he just started getting incoherent and looked like he was strung out.

There are various wrestling events that completely dropped the ball on booking. Royal Rumble 2015 comes to mind.

In terms of games, the first Fable was such a wet fart of an experience. I followed the previews, and after I 100% it after about 15 hours, I proceeded to look online to see if there was content I had missed.
