I'm in the same boat. Fallout games provide these different approaches. When it comes to JRPGs, I've found myself investing about 4500 hours on Disgaea 2 (combining the original and the PSP version). Because for example, a lot of people don't consider F.E.A.R. a horror game, even though it has a shit ton of jumpscares and fuck me moments. If so, then F.E.A.R (Horror/Thriller FPS), Penumbra (First person survival horror/adventure) and Parasite Eve (Horror/RPG) are probably my all-time favorites.
