EDIT: I haven't drawn in years btw. The last ones (Naruto) was back in my... junior year of high school I think. Which was 2006-07. It was a free drawing assignment and I got an A on it. Aww yeah.

Oh and the rest (the YYH ones) were from like 7th/8th grade.

God I wish I could improve.

Day 1: Fighting Type

Fighting type... defensively, it's a mixed bag but offensively it's one of the most versatile and competitive types in the games. Apparently this means it contains a bunch of beefy, veiny uggos. Yes Fighting is my least favorite type, but there are a few standouts.

5. Croagunk


I would probably not love Croagunk nearly as much if not for Brock's Croagunk in the anime. He's... weird. And just cool.

4. Mienshao


It's a kung fu-fighting ermine. Seriously, how cool is that? It's on the list because I like how it plays. It can't really take hits at the level of most other Fighters so it emphasizes speed and elusiveness (hit and run tactics). Plus, it's a kung fu-fighting ermine. Oh, did I say that already?

3. Virizion


Truth be told I like Virizion more than the top two pokémon on my list. So why's it lower? Well... I feel like it doesn't embody the spirit of the Fighting type as much as either of the next two. I look at it and I see a Grass type who can also fight.

2. Lucario

From everything I've heard, Lucario is solid in his debut game, and I know for a fact he's solid in Gen5. Not to mention he's essentially the poster pokémon of the generation I've never touched. He's got his own movie; he's got several anime spots; he's got an appearance in Brawl (and he's always kicking my ass when my friend plays him). He's everywhere! And he's always looking cool. It's pretty hard not to like this guy.

1. Cobalion


I know. Fighting isn't Cobalion's primary type either, but just look at him. He's stocky, and muscular. He looks like he's hard to knock over whereas Virizion looks willowy and fragile. There's a reason Cobalion is the Musketeers' leader!

Honorable mention: Infernape

He beats out Heracross for the HM because Hera hasn't found a place on my team for quite a while. Infernape is my favorite of the (two too many) Fire/Fighting starters.

No no, but the character is SO fanservicey that no female fan of Nicoman could POSSIBLY like her as her only purpose is to rope horny guys into watching the series or reading the manga...

You know it occurs to me I have no idea what Nico Man is supposed to be IRL so I can't relate it to anything. And to make matters worse, the character (was he named Dan?) doesn't know either, so this is pretty much a shot in the dark. Gotta edit something real quick.

NERDY GIRL and GOTH GIRL are the only ones we have an immediate shot at, but I doubt that'll happen considering we've got zero Goth cred and the Creep has a long leg up on us in the nerd department. I've got it! We need to expose the Creep for the creep he is, while simultaneously distracting him long enough to have a shot at NERDY GIRL.
