Yeah man, running a mile "nonstop" is really ****ing easy to do. I hardly ever run for fun or exercise these days, but when I do I can run almost three miles "nonstop", at an average pace of 10 minutes per mile. And again, I hardly ever run. Could I run my 6:20 mile these days? Oh god no, but I can definitely run a mile without having to stop.

That said, yeah, it's not as good as it used to be. The show has a ton of great individual characters but they haven't really had a good office dynamic in a while. It's just Wacky Person A and Wacky Person B trying to out-wacky each other. Remember when Mindy Kaling used to have some good lines every now and again, or when B.J. Novak did interesting things? It's been a while, hasn't it?

I haven't timed myself in the mile in, like, 7 years, but when I last did it I think I was around 6 minutes 20 seconds or something. That said, my best time in the 400M sprint is 53.something. I only ever did sprinting events in track.

I'm just going to lay it out here - XIII doesn't believe in science. He says that sufficient technology would seem to us magical, and he chooses to believe that everything is magic, and not the work of thousands of years of human innovation, creativity, and intelligence. This stubbornness is what I believe most of us first think of when we think about XIII. Well hell, honestly, between the big predictions, I'd rather Oregon get hit. The Oregon prediction leaves Seaside and a few other coastal towns severely hurt, but they have some preparations for the worst of it. The Great Leon, a man who was born from nothing and has achieved everything. Dante, an old companion of mine and one of the most trustworthy. It is said that he can predict what's about to happen up to five seconds in the future with 100% accuracy, though I have no evidence on hand to either confirm or deny this - that said, it wouldn't surprise me. Dante, while perhaps not always a gentleman, is most definitely scholarly. He told me a parable in 1998, before either of us had even heard of GameFAQs, about a man with a boat. In the story the man built a boat himself with which to sail across the sea to find his true love on the other side. The first night afloat the boat sprung a leak, and the man, clearly shaken, took off his shirt and plugged the hole. The next day two more holes appeared and he had to use some of the food he brought to seal them. Eventually the boat became so full of holes that the man was nude and hungry and sunburnt so badly that he couldn't move an inch. His boat sank and the man died.
