It's just 7 days, but it has to be a good sign considering how bad they have had it. May may be too optimistic, but with the right rules in place mid May could actually be when we see some sort of normal. You can't just go back to the way things were, but opening things up with measures being taken to keep people far apart and we could be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

In some stores it's even worse than not getting paid, they have to use their own masks/hand sanitizers/disinfectants, and we all know those are all jacked to the moon wherever you can find them. Even places that have cut down on price gouging have significantly increased pricing. Better pay and supplying them with tools needed to stay safer are what they need, not a pat on the back.

lol TMZ I know, but I got a nice chuckle out of this. This world is scary for kids right now, I thought this was pretty cool. It's nice to see kind hearted moments in these times, even benign ones like this.

This is from TMZ, but they are using a credible source. This was in their article about the tiger, so I assume this update is recent.

The USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service just released some information that'll probably come as potentially great news for pet owners, who might be freaking out at the possibility of contracting COVID-19 from their pooches or felines at home.In a Q&A sheet on their site, the federal scientists say in regards to animals (wild or domesticated) with the question being ... If animals can catch the virus, can they give it back to people? The APHIS experts say ... NO! They add, "At this time, there is no evidence to suggest that any animals, including pets or livestock, can spread the COVID-19 infection to people." What's pretty obvious by now though ... we can give it to them.

I never understood why masks were discouraged. I understand they don't have much protection for you personally, but isn't the idea of how we are combating this is by treating everyone like they're infected? I mean that's the entire reason we have to social distance, to treat yourself and other as if you know they have the disease. Wouldn't masks apply to that? You wear them to protect others from what you have regardless of whether you have it or not. No they won't protect you from a cough to the face, but if you have one on and the other person has one on, doesn't that offer some significant protection?

The shutdowns have been state decisions, he can't force them to open up. Is he saying all of this so when the country doesn't open up and the economy gets worse he can deflect any blame off of himself?

Honestly the longer the country is closed to a certain extent makes Trump look better. I don't know enough about the economy to know how long it can last like this, but if Trump sacrifices the one thing he holds up as important to him to save lives, he kind of comes off looking good. If he opens up the country and the floodgates of death open up with it, a strong economy won't be the difference in public opinion.

It is, but isn't saying 50 million Americans will die going a bit too far? I know that's not you who said that, but the guy you quoted was responding to that.

You immune system is a hairy doorman and some beefy bouncers, who have a "don't let this guy in, and beat him up on sight" list.
Corona isn't on the list yet. He's currently harassing the waitress, and will be kicked out as soon as the bouncers get to him.
But how does he get on that list without a vaccine or immunity from having it before? Does it get a software update?

I'm feeling really stupid right now so Im going to stop thinking about this and see if it makes more sense in the morning.

I don't understand how this may end by July or August without a vaccine. I know the social distancing is about slowing it down, but I don't understand how we will be sort of back to normal without a way to kill it. Once these restrictions are lifted won't it just come back?

Or at the very least point me in a direction where you can ask questions. I'm a bit drunk, but I want to ask these questions and I figure asking them drunk is the best time so I won't feel that stupid for asking them.

They recommend daily cleaning of common touch points. If I don't have coronavirus and I decide to go a week without leaving the house or letting anyone in, do I still need to?

I have an electric dog fence that lets my dog freely run around the yard and sometimes kids play with her. I know dogs can't catch coronavirus, but can they physically carry it on them? If so should I not let her out as often? She's an old dog, so it wouldn't bother her.

I've seen conflicting stories on air ventilation. I guess some experts say to not use an air conditioner and instead just open a window. Is either option really better or worse than the other?
