The old chapters have been extensively editted, so there is new material in there (and it took me long enough to do so), but yeah, sorry for the lack of new content. I actually did have vote totals saved. But I had written a draft of Chapter Nine (now Chapter Ten) that I cannot find. And rewriting what had been lost did not sound exciting, so I'm holding a recite now in hopes the results change (and I am on vacation and have limited Wifi access now anyway, so why not.)

Voting is now open for Chapter Nine and will remain open until 9pm EST on Sunday, July 10th.
You have two options as to where to vote and where to argue: 1: You can vote and argue here, in this topic. 2: You can vote by visiting the Comments section in The Legend of Snake archives at AO3 and responding to my 'Chapter Nine Voting' Comment.
You can only vote at one location, but you can post your thoughts on both locations. Just be sure to post your GameFAQs screen-name in the Comments at AO3.
Oh hey, by the way; it's back!!! (You can pretend to be excited now)

Sorry about that -- I anticipated having internet access earlier tonight and did not. Yes, Fluttershy did win. (Again!)
It was a good final match, all things considered. Suspenseful. First I thought Fluttershy was going to wipe the floor with things, then I thought it'd be close, then Pinkie started to run away with it, then things turned around.
I'd create one of those 'finale' posts but I'm rather pressed for time right now. Maybe later this morning, we'll see.

Its more fun when the rules allow rallying <flashback to me causing shenanigans in Best Ass In Gaming contest almost getting Mu-12 to the finals>
I disagree.
Often, ralliers can convince personal friends to support their favorite character, even if the newcomers aren't actually even familiar with the subject material. Someone who has no idea what MLP: FiM actually is should not vote in this contest just because their good friend pesters them to vote for Pony X. In that case, what's really happening is that the rallier wields more than one vote (his and his friend's.)
Even the most innocuous form of rallying -- say you prefer Pinkie Pie but instead of telling your friend how to vote you just say "Man it's the finals! I know you love MLP! Vote for your favorite here! I voted Pinkie Pie but you can vote for Fluttershy if you want!" has a detrimental effect. Rallying artificially sways the results and works against honest voters who've participated in the contest throughout. There's little incentive for you to support your favorite character -- whoever it is -- throughout the many weeks that a contest is run only to have your work decimated when a bunch of strangers show up and overwhelm your vote.
And whenever rallying (and/or voting with alternate accounts) seems likely, the absolute worst as a host is dealing with the legions of fans for the losing character who are upset with me because of the possibly tampered outcome. It'd be even worse if Pinkie Pie wins, because the Fluttershy voters will note that I voted Pinkie Pie myself and presume that I didn't go after the suspect Pinkie votes because I preferred the outcome. I'd prefer a contest result where everyone's civil. It's MLP, after all, and what MLP fanatic doesn't love both these characters?
So yeah, it's just unfortunate. It's even unfortunate to talk about rallying right now because there's a legitimate possibility that nearly every vote from a 'stranger' here was cast in a totally innocent way, and even making this post might discourage newcomers who came here legitimately and who should have every right to vote.

Could be just people who were too lazy to vote before drawn in by the finals/the promoted match in the topic title.
That's certainly the more generous interpretation, but I do have a hard time believing that so many voters would remain blissfully uninformed of the contest until the finals. I buy the notion that inconsistent or infrequent voters would definitely check back in now, but so many completely new never-before-seen voters suggests a possibility of rallying.
Unfortunately, there's absolutely nothing I can do about it but moan privately over the likelihood that it's happening. Unfortunately, I lack any real means to deter it.

I have to say, I'm somewhat concerned with the sheer number of individuals who're showing up who've never voted in a previous round (that goes for Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie voters by equal measure.) Rallying was supposed to be against the rules, yo. (And so is using alts.)
I'm not accusing anyone specifically, because I just plain lack the evidence to, but it's somewhat disconcerting.

yeah I might be tempted to rank FFVII higher if not for the placement of games like Xenogears and SMRPG Also LOL at troll voters, even if you hate everything FFVII it's still polished enough in some respects to deserve higher than a 1

We desperately need To Catch a Predator? Really, MWIS? I'm not saying that what he does does more harm than good, but you think this news anchor who gets ratings by filling the public's desire for humiliating criminals is more important than the police?
'Desperately' was a bit too strong a word, but yes, we need the show. Primarily for its effect at deterring potential sexual predators, moreso than its actual impact with law enforcement.

I said, "Pinkie, you've got to stand up tall, learn to face your fears... You'll see that Fluttershy can't hurt you Just laugh and make her disappear!"
(That was a vote for Pinkie.)

If you were going to show up in this topic I would have waged money on you voting
"Snake. You know, from the Legend of Snake That other project That is infinitely more important than this one" -- "Why the hell are you wasting your time with this MWIS" . .

I mean it's one thing to remark on the sheer coincidence of Hansen being 'caught' doing something scummy in the same way that he caught others doing scummy things.
But to suggest that this is in any way "poetic" or "awesome" is to suggest that there's karmic retribution in Hansen getting caught, which in turn suggests that you actually disliked Hansen before this news broke and are rooting for his demise. That and the false equivalency in appearing to equate Hansen's behavior with the individuals he caught, that's equally disturbing.
Really, this story is tragic, not humorous. The tragedy is in the fact that Hansen's behavior here may undo the legitimacy of To Catch a Predator, a show we desperately need and that humanity only benefits from in catching underage predators, who are infinitely worse kinds of scum than the kind of scum Hansen is for committing adultery with a consenting adult.

Wait So the logic in this topic is that Chris Hansen is a bad guy because he attempts to catch individuals who prey on underage children Therefore, he "totally deserves" getting caught and getting the same treatment as underage sex predators because he had an affair with a thirty-year old woman
...I do not understand this logic

The Element of Generosity has generously ceded the stage to her two comrades, the Element of Laughter and the Element of Kindness.
...With Rarity having been ingloriously slain, we are left with the two ponies with crazy alternative personalities to fight tooth and nails for the crown of the "best. pony. ever."
PINKIE PIE
"Okey dokey lokey!" "FOREVER!!!" "And that's how Equestria was made!"
FLUTTERSHY
"....yay." "You rock! Woohoo." "You do not! Hurt! My! Friends!!!"
Here's the lovely lady who voices both our finalists:
(She's guaranteed to win!)
RULES:
This round is simple. Vote once for either Pinkie Pie or Fluttershy. You're voting to save your favorite of the two finalists. You may only vote once. The round lasts 24 hours long. Every vote cast in the next twenty-four hours will count. Whichever pony has the most votes at the end of the round is "saved" and wins the contest! If you attempt to cast more than one vote, attempt to rally votes from other websites or GameFAQs Boards, or attempt to get away with casting multiple votes from alt accounts, your vote will not count.
I genuinely enjoyed playing The Bard's Tale on PS2, but I don't think I'll ever play it again.
GTA 3 and GTA: Vice City are also both great examples. Both were fine games (moreso Vice City.) If I ever pick up a PS2-era GTA game again, though, it'd be San Andreas.
The RPG I'd most likely simultaneously consider 'objectively good' but also 'unlikely to ever touch again' would probably be Final Fantasy Tactics.

* I own a high-end 2008 laptop (with a video card that was considered solid then) that can reasonably run strategy games, RPGs, and older games, but it certainly wouldn't successfully run a game like Crysis 2, and generally speaking games primarily developed for consoles and games with high graphic requirements send this computer on the fritz. Even Empire: Total War runs like **** (but Medieval II and Rome are fine.) The original Mass Effect plays fine, but Mass Effect 2 is borderline.
* I can't afford to spend more than $30 right now. Maybe $40 if the game is phenomenal, but $50 is outside my jurisdiction.
* I prefer strategy games, adventure games, and RPGs. "Games I enjoy most" on my PC include Civ 4 (which I prefer over Civ 5), KOTOR, Company of Heroes, old-school Might and Magic games, and anything Total War.
* I tend to not enjoy games without any narrative cohesion -- a prime example of an objectively good game that I enjoy less than most others would be Minecraft.
* I prefer single-player over multiplayer.
Any recommendations for solid Steam purchases?

Again, LOL at everyone who gave me so much flak over the rules. Sorry, but if you dish it out you gotta take it too. :P
And it looks like we'll have an all-Andrea Libman finale. But I'm going to double-check and make sure the votes are legit before settling this.
(Also to whoever asked RE: the other contests -- I was asked a similar question by Ulti regarding my past Mafia experience, and it's the same answer I gave then. I like to keep my internet lives separate and distinct, and since more evidence of my real-life persona is available in other communities, it's something I prefer to keep private. I will say that both communities were message boards for popular webcomics.)

...I didn't know you were Natwaf. Well, I hope that didn't screw over prior votes, as I recorded Pram and Natwaf as separate people. Also LOL at everyone who thought it'd be absolutely impossible to get enough votes
(Now watch as the last few votes take 12+ hrs just to spite me.)
