A lot of it has to do with a bunch of contradictions/lies coming from Captain Zack and Samsora IIRC. I don't remember the details, but Captain Zack in particular lost a lot of credibility as additional information came out.

The fact that this other guy is saying "he hasn't reoffended in a year so we should receive him with open arms" is damning in itself. It's not "this guy never groomed", it's "he groomed, but not for a while".

No amount of good publicity erases what ZeRo did. If he wants to re-enter the public eye, he has to take the heat for what he did and he has to accept that people are only going to see him as a rapist. There's no softening that. Either get a day job where you're as far away from children as possible, or accept that you have the stink on you and deal with the consequences of your own actions instead of trying to sugarcoat it.

From the likes on both videos the only way the tide can turn (ZeRo has legal representation now) is if his accuser comes out

To the standards of journalism today he is pretty good. The standards are low though. He at least gets evidence and facts

Frankly, this case is the system working. It should work like this in EVERY case. The prosecution needs to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant committed the crime they are accused of. The fact that the prosecution didn't means that if Rittenhouse is convicted anyway, THAT will be the system not working.

They want him to be convicted, that way when minorities (which Kyle Rittenhouse has been documented as) are jailed for the same reasons they can pretend they aren't hypocrites

It was not a short-barreled rifle (941.28). This charge should never have been filed. The prosecution knew it was not illegally possessed all along and still wanted the jury to decide on it. Shame on them.
