I never once said he was trans tho. In fact I specifically referred to him as a dude dressed like a chick in my first post. I only said the premise was the same because he concealed his identity until after theyd been dating, and in the original hypothetical scenario, we were talking about a trans person who never said they were trans until after youd been dating them.

Theres a simpsons episode about that exact premise. Where Patty is about to marry a dude dressed as a chick, and she turns him down literally because she felt betrayed, despite them having great chemistry together.

At the time it was praised as a positive depiction of the LGBTQ, but I guess now its transphobic.

I thought another human somewhere actually had to take you up on the call for you to make the premium, but now it looks like youre payed just for opening it in the first place. Am I understanding that correctly?

If so, whats to stop people from just opening ridiculous sell call contracts that nobody would actually take you up on, and then profiting from the premium, rinsing and repeating? (Like say opening a sell call for $14 when the stock is only worth $7)

Contracts are for 100 shares each, so if you want 2 you'd need 200 shares. Unless they allow you to not have the collateral, in which you're selling/buying what you don't have, but if you're asking this question I'm going to go ahead and say you probably aren't approved for that level of options trading.

If Im going to buy a put contract, do my shares have to match up to the contract exactly? For instance if I wanna buy 2 puts at 200x shares each, can I do that if I only have 184 shares of the stock? Or would I have to actually have 200 shares?
