Yeah, but Mormonism is one of the few that is actually disporvable based on archeological evidence. At least most of the cities in the Bible actually existed. The Book of Mormon is a demonstrable fabrication.

Because the church tells them to keep up a perfect image. It is all a mirage, and they are just doing it to try and get more members.
The reality is that most of them are miserable and are being crushed under unrealistic expectations of perfection. CNN actually did a documentary about the high rates of drug abuse within the Mormon church. Really interesting.

In summary, regular guys must wear fairly conservative menswear with classic haircuts or face ridicule. Artists, musicians and otherwise unemployed people can dress ironically or in vintage. And finally people who are very very famous can wear whatever the hell they want and make it cool for whatever reason, because they get to decide what that means.

I'm not sure it's fair to so easily dismiss straight people lamenting their inability to form relationships.

Think about it: The person surrounded by peers who are 94% the same as them, peers who are forming relationships and exploring their sexuality, while they are completely unable to do so, furthered by the knowledge that any person of the opposite gender is in their "dating pool", and yet that status is still unreachable. Does that not add its own layer of isolation?

Although yes, the non-straight person is isolated in that they have a non-standard sexuality and so are isolated in the sense they lack sexual peers, but they AREN'T tormented with the knowledge that almost half of the population is theoretically date-able to them, as heterosexual people don't date homosexual people.

On one hand, isolation through an excess of opportunities granted and then completely wasted while others seized them, the other with opportunities not really granted.
Mind you, this isn't to minimize the situation G/SM people have. Just some thoughts on how valid straight people's isolation and loneliness is.

I am not fully dismissing it, I am saying they blow it massively out of proportion. Whoever made this image was butthurt they missed their chance at teen love, but has likely never considered that most LGBT teens never even get a shot. At least he had a chance.

The vast majority are drug addicts who just dont want to go to a shelter because they would have to get clean. Panhandlers are all scammers. Every single one. If they want food and a roof, there are shelters they can go to.

One of my coworkers got randomly punched by one who was on drugs. Had to call the cops and file a report. There is no reason to allow these people to be on the streets. Put a roof over their head in jail and make the city safer. Everyone wins.
