In MGS1's post credit, Ocelot mentions that the "inferior one won after all."

Though me googling the question ITT had me learn that some people think that Liquid was actually the recessive clone, he just didn't consider the possibility that the recessive genes were the better ones.

That was my analysis also. That the dominant and recessive genes didnt mean superior and inferior.

I dont know where its stated that Solid didnt really have the dominant genes, only that Liquid thought he was inferior because he had the recessive genes.

Liquid had the dominant genes but was told he had the recessive genes.

Where was this stated? I only played the numbered games, so might have missed it.

Iirc Liquid was all of BB's dominant genes and Solid was all of BB's recessive genes, while Solidus was the perfect combination of both. Just cuz. It's nonsense but it's fun and cool so it works.

irrc Liquid had the recessive genes and therefore thought he was the inferior clone, even though he was thought to be the superior by the ones conducting the experiment.

The PC will be used primarily for gaming. I don't dabble in video editing or any kind of high end workstation stuff.

PNY GeForce RTX 4080 VERTO
Intel Core i9-13900F Tray
CM ML360L Core ARGB Cooler
Kingston Fury Renegade DDR5 6000Mhz 32GB
Kingston FURY Renegade PCIe M.2 NVME SSD 2TB
ASUS TUF GAMING B760-PLUS WIFI Motherboard
Corsair RMe Series RM850e PSU

vs. the about 800$ less expensive

ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT OC
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU Tray
CM ML240L V2 ARGB Cooler
Kingston FURY Beast RGB DDR5 6000MHz 32GB
Kingston FURY Renegade PCIe M.2 NVME SSD 2TB
ASUS TUF Gaming B650-PLUS WIFI Motherboard
Corsair RMe Series RM850e PSU

I'm buying my first gaming PC. I don't have any money problems, but I want a good value for money type deal. "Needing" to upgrade for example 2 years later is worth 800$ to me.

What will give me the most for my money?

Based on my very limited research, the Intel processor is better overall, but the Ryzen is better for gaming, but might not be as future proof, even in the near future.
The 4080 is better, especially when ray tracing is involved, but maybe not worth the extra cost?
Not familiar enough with RAM, but the Renegade has CL32 with intel XMP, the Beast has CL 36 with both intel XMP and AMD EXPO (Not even sure what this stuff is)

The last 15 years I have only owned consoles for gaming and I like story driven games. I prioritize frames and stability over high end graphics. For now I just want a good experience with games like Baldur's Gate 3 (This will be my first game to play on PC, so the PC needs to be able to play this well, at least just as good as the PS5/XboxSX). Other games I think I will enjoy on PC: Final Fantasy VII Remastered, Cyberpunk, RDR2, Skyrim, The Sims 4, Elden Ring and Forza Horizon.

Thanks for your feedback :)
